Ezekiel 37:7-10(GNB)
... While I was speaking, I heard a rattling noise, and the bones began to join together. While I watched, the bones were covered with sinews and muscles, and then with skin. But there was no breath in the bodies. God said to me, "Mortal man, prophesy to the wind… to come from every direction, to breathe into these dead bodies, and to bring them back to life." So I prophesied as I had been told. Breath entered the bodies, and they came to life and stood up.

During Prophet Ezekiel's encounter in our text above, the rattling from the bones coming together and the muscles and skin coming upon them must have been a spectacular sight for him to behold. But even after that wonderful manifestation, the bodies, though formed, remained on the floor lifeless. Prophet Ezekiel needed to prophesy again so that life could flood those bodies because without life, they would have remained in that valley and been unable to do or become anything. The life that was necessary to fill those bodies is symbolic of the power of the Holy Spirit that needs to
fill our lives, quicken us and transform us to be all that God wants us to be.
So many people define and often even limit the move of God to external movements and manifestations that they personally experience. The truth is that many times, the transformative power of God may be absent notwithstanding those movements and manifestations. The Bible informs us that one of the signs of the last days will be that many will have a form of godliness but will deny the power thereof, 2Tim.3:5. They will be satisfied with the external forms and not reach forth for the Spirit's move and touch in their lives. God moves by His Spirit. Jesus reminded us that the flesh profits nothing; it is the Spirit that gives life and His words are Spirit and Life, John 6:63. Despite the manifestation, until there is a change and transformation in line with the Spirit and Word of God, the move of God is incomplete. As such, desire and yield more to God's Spirit.
PRAYER FOCUS: Desire a fresh touch of the Holy Spirit upon your life today. Ask God to quicken you and transform you from the inside by His Spirit. Receive grace to yield more to the Word and Spirit of God.
