#AFFIRMATIONTRAIN 28TH FEBRUARY.
I affirm that the Father has given me His Word, to show me how to run with patience the race that is set before me. My spirit is open to correction and I have a teachable heart! My heart is full of joy, love, kindness, and compassion. I refuse to allow bitterness, anger, or strife to take root in me. Do Not Forget God's Goodness and Mercies Towards You
Psalm 106:9-13
He gave a command to the Red Sea, and it dried up; he led his people across on dry land. He saved them from those who hated them; he rescued them from their enemies. But the water drowned their enemies; not one of them was left. Then his people believed his promises and sang praises to him. But they quickly forgot what he had done and acted without waiting for his advice.

Key Verse: “And there came a fire out from before the LORD, and consumed upon the altar the burnt offering and the fat: which when all the people saw, they shouted, and fell on their faces.” (Leviticus 9:24)_
Sacrifice is an act through which the blood and flesh of an animal are offered to God in the Old Testament. Some of the offerings prescribed then were sin offering, the grain offering and so on.
Everyone was expected to make sacrifice in Israel, including their priests. It is noteworthy to observe from the text that the sacrifice the priest offered was on behalf of himself and his sons. It was still needful that Aaron should offer sacrifice for his own sin before undertaking for others. The offerings of Aaron were made in faith and total obedience to God.

MESSAGE – OPEN HEAVENS 28 FEBRUARY 2018 WEDNESDAY DAILY DEVOTIONAL

There is a relationship between wisdom and Joy. We see this truth in Ecclesiastes 8:1b:
“A man’s wisdom maketh his face to shine, and the boldness of his face shall be changed.”
The reason why the wise possess joy is that they work to bring joy to the people around them and not to themselves alone (2nd Corinthians 2:3). Who then are the wise? Proverbs 10:8a answers this question:
“The wise in heart will receive commandments;”
It takes wisdom and humility of heart for a man to abide by the commandments of God. Alas, these two are in short supply in today’s world. No wonder joy is fast becoming a scarce commodity. For a lot of people in the world today, God’s commandments are no longer an issue to be considered. Liberal theologians are busy convincing the gullible that the commandments of God are obsolete, moribund and out of fashion. They argue that the only way to sustain the Christian faith is to abandon the commandments of God as reinforced by Jesus Christ in the gospels.

OPEN HEAVEN 27 FEBRUARY 2018 TUESDAY

The message of the Bible is being over-contextualized to the point that we have many varieties of beliefs and practices in the Body of Christ today. It’s presented as if when God was giving His commandments, He did not have the whole world in mind. We must admit the truth that when Jesus Christ was teaching His disciples, He was preparing them to evangelise the world. He could therefore not have sent them out to different parts of the world to teach a spiritual curriculum that is different from what He had already taught them as recorded in the gospels. This is the testimony of one of His disciples about their message to the whole world in 1st John 1:3:
“That which we have seen and heard declare we unto you, that ye also may have fellowship with us: and truly our fellowship is with the Father, and with his Son Jesus Christ.”
A hymn writer’s advice would suffice as the crux of the message for today’s devotional: “Trust and obey; for there’s no other way to be happy in Jesus; but to trust, and obey.” Only the fear of God, which produces adherence to His commandments, can give you joy unspeakable and make you full of His glory. Be wise today.
Prayer Point – Open Heaven 28 February 2018 Wednesday
Father, please give me the spirit of wisdom that will produce my desired joy in Jesus’ Name.

SING HYMN 4 – TRUST AND OBEY

When we walk with the Lord in
the light of His Word,
What a glory He sheds on our
way!
While we do His good will, He
abides with us still,
And with all who will trust and
obey.

Chorus
Trust and obey, for there’s no other
Way
To be happy in Jesus, but to trust
and obey.

Not a shadow can rise, not a
cloud in the skies,
But His smile quickly drives it
away;
Not a doubt or a fear, not a sigh
or a tear,
Can abide while we trust and
obey.

Not a burden we bear, not a
sorrow we share,
But our toil He doth richly
repay;
Not a grief or a loss, not a frown
or a cross,
But is blessed if we trust and
obey.

KEEP LOOKING…
But whoso looketh into the perfect law of liberty, and continueth therein, he being not a forgetful hearer, but a doer of the work, this man shall be blessed in his deed (James 1:25).
The Word of God is a mirror. The Bible says, “But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord” (2 Corinthians 3:18). When we look into the mirror of God, we see ourselves. We see the glory of God. The natural mirror portrays earthly reflections, but God’s mirror, His Word, is the perfect mirror that shows you who you are and exactly how God sees you.

If you listen to the word, but do not put it into practice you are like people who look in a mirror and see themselves as they are. They take a good look at themselves and then go away and at once forget what they look like. But if you look closely into the perfect law that sets people free, and keep on paying attention to it and do not simply listen and then forget it, but put it into practice---you will be blessed by God in what you do.

God called Isaiah to proclaim His message to the people. Though he spoke the truth, the people would not believe him, especially because much of his prophetic utterances were about judgement for their sins. Isaiah also prophesied extensively about the coming of the Messiah but the people still did not believe him.

THE BLESSEDNESS OF GIVING.
As long as the world exists, there will be a time for planting and a time for harvest. There will always be cold and heat, summer and winter, day and night (Genesis 8:22 GNB).
One of the most profound principles in the Word of God that guarantee continuous increase in finances is the principle of giving. Not too many people are as excited to give, as they are to receive; meanwhile, the promised blessing isn’t to the receiver but to the giver. Jesus said, “…It is more blessed to give than to receive” (Acts 20:35).

Historical records say that ancient Hebrew women always treasured particular girdle that indicated their status as married women. Sadly, Israel treasured no fond memories of their God but simply forgot Him “days without number!”
The Lord was grieved with Israel because they repeatedly ignored His discipline. They were unwilling to admit their wrongdoing and change their ways. Israel’s conduct was incomprehensible. Israel, at this time, had backslidden from following the

And take heed to yourselves, lest at any time your hearts be overcharged with surfeiting, and drunkenness, and cares of this life, and so that day come upon you unawares (Luke 21:34).
The parable of the sower that Jesus told in Mark chapter 4 shows us the reason the Word of God is unfruitful in the lives of some people. These people are overwhelmed by the cares of this life: “And these are they which are sown among thorns; such as hear the word, And the cares of this world… choke the word, and it becometh unfruitful” (Mark 4:18-19).

There was a story of a young graduate looking for a part-time employment in an office. It was on a Friday morning. “All I need right now, says the shop owner, “is a typist”. “I’ll take the job,” said the young man, “I can’t come back until next Tuesday”. On Tuesday he reported for duty. “Why couldn’t you come back before today?” The shop owner wanted to know. “Because I had to rent a typewriter and learn to use it”, was the unexpected answer. As a Christian, learning the job of preaching the gospel is very essential lest a sinner meets you unprepared.

For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life (John 3:16).
There’re people who have stopped going to church, because they did something wrong and thought God was mad at them and couldn’t forgive them. I wish they knew the kind of God He is! He is love. He could never turn His back on you. He loves you so much that rather than punish you for your sins, He punished His Son, Jesus. That’s what we read in our opening verse.
