Here Am I Lord, Send Me
1Samuel 3:10, 19-20 (GNB), John 10:27 (GNB)
The LORD came and stood there, and called as he had before, "Samuel! Samuel!" Samuel answered, "Speak; your servant is listening." *As Samuel grew up, the LORD was with him and made come true everything that Samuel said. So all the people of Israel, from one end of the country to the other, knew that Samuel was indeed a prophet of the LORD. *My sheep listen to my voice; I know them, and they follow me.

God is more willing to use us to touch and bless lives than we can ever ask or imagine, Eph.3:20. When last did you ask God to use you or imagine God using you mightily? God is always speaking and leading us to solve problems, to heal, save, touch and bless lives with the love, power and grace that He has given us in Christ. Often times, we fail to listen to Him and make ourselves available to Him as much as we should. Samuel made Himself available to God and was used mightily. In Matthew 25:31-46, Jesus made a distinction between those He described as sheep and others he described as goats. He described the sheep as those He would reward for exhibiting His love in various ways to the least of His brethren. As God's sheep, He is leading us every day to love and touch lives and He expects us to yield ourselves to Him and follow Him.
Jesus Himself was the perfect example by laying down His life to touch and bless us with God's grace and power. Now, He wants us to do the same for others. In Matthew 20:28, Jesus made it clear that He didn't come to be ministered to; rather He came to minister and give His life as a ransom for many. Every act of love and service that you render amounts to a ransom that you pay for someone to be free from a certain condition that is not the will of God for their lives. Remember that Jesus has sent you into the world just as God the Father sent Him. Be sensitive to God's leading today and be ready to make great sacrifices as you allow Him to use you to be a blessing to others today in various ways.
PRAYER FOCUS: Tell God that you are available to Him for His use today and ask Him to use you to mightily touch and bless lives.
