How to Yield Yourself to God
Romans 6:13 (NIV), Colossians 3:1&3 (GNB)
Do not offer the parts of your body to sin, as instruments of wickedness, but rather offer yourselves to God, as those who have been brought from death to life; and offer the parts of your body to him as instruments of righteousness. *You have been raised to life with Christ, so set your hearts on the things that are in heaven, where Christ sits on his throne at the right side of God. *For you have died, and your life is hidden with Christ in God.

The secret to yielding ourselves to God lies in our realization of the fact that we died together with Christ and have been raised up together with Him unto a new and higher life. When a seed is planted, it does not sprout from the ground as the same seed that was placed into the ground. That old seed dies and new life springs out from the ground, John 12:24. God gives that seed a new body, 1Cor.15:35-38. The same God that does this for little seeds has done the same for you in Christ Jesus.
Colossians 2:11-13 (GNB) says, “in union with Christ you were circumcised, not with the circumcision that is made by human beings, but with the circumcision made by Christ, which consists of being freed from the power of this sinful self. For when you were baptized, you were buried with Christ, and in baptism you were also raised with Christ through your faith in the active power of God, who raised him from death. You were at one time spiritually dead because of your sins and because you were Gentiles without the Law. But God has now brought you to life with Christ. God forgave us all our sins.”
You now have a new life in Christ. See yourself as someone who has a new life (Rom.6:11) and it will be easier for you to yield yourself to God. Declare to yourself that you are dead to sin and that you are now alive to righteousness. It is already your reality in the Spirit and as this revelation dawns on you, it will be your experience in the natural.
FAITH DECLARATION: My old sinful man died with Christ on the cross. God has given me a new and higher life. I have received the gift of righteousness.
