New Dimensions of Favour 4

Psalm 23:4-5 (NLT), Psalm 110:1-2 (The Message)
Even when I walk through the darkest valley, I will not be afraid, for you are close beside me. .. You prepare a feast for me in the presence of my enemies. You honor me by anointing my head with oil. My cup overflows with blessings. *The word of God to my Lord: "Sit alongside me here on my throne until I make your enemies a stool for your feet." You were forged a strong scepter by God of Zion; now rule, though surrounded by enemies!

Every 'valley of the shadow of death' experience that you may have will simply be a passage way to a new level, honour and glory in every area of your life. God is with you, He is in you and is for you. God does not want us to react in fear to things in the same way that people of this world react. Isaiah 8:11-13 (NIV) declares, “The Lord spoke to me with his strong hand upon me, warning me not to follow the way of this people. He said: "Do not call conspiracy everything that these people call conspiracy; do not fear what they fear, and do not dread it. The Lord Almighty is the one you are to regard as holy, he is the one you are to fear, he is the one you are to dread.”

Just as Jesus said that the kind of peace He gives us is not like the one this world gives (John 14:27), the kind of favour that He gives us also is not like the type this world gives. The conditions do not need to be right for you to flourish and succeed. Even in the midst of negative conditions and situations, your head will be held up high, your head will be anointed and your cup will overflow with God's abundance and goodness. In conditions that others could not flourish, you will find yourself flourishing because it is according to His riches in glory that God will supply your needs (Phil.4:19), not according to the prevailing conditions or economy around you. You are seated in Heavenly places with Christ Jesus. You are favoured and you have the ability to dominate even in the midst of negativity.

PRAYER: Receive the grace of God to change your perspective of negative conditions and to flourish in the midst of them.
