*GOD HAS THE BLUEPRINT*
*TEXT* JUDGES 13:8-14.
_*🔑KEY VERSE* "She may not eat of any thing that cometh of the vine, neither let her drink wine or strong drink, nor eat any unclean thing: and all that I commanded her let her observe" (JUDGES 13:14)._

The birth of the United States on July 4, 1776 came after much preparations and consultations that included meetings among Christian, military and political leaders. One of the founding fathers, George Washington, who later became the nation's first president, was a man given to prayer and Bible reading. He sought the face of God every step of the way as the world awaited the arrival of the state that would emerge a big global player.
Thousands of years earlier when the Manoah family in ancient Israel also awaited for a baby marked for greatness by God, after a period of barrenness, their main preparation was to go to God with the posers: "How shall we order the child, and how shall we do unto him?" The child was special and born of prophecy; he was set for God's service and the parents wisely wanted divine counsel on how to handle him. He could not be treated ordinarily.
There was a way of life prescribed by the Lord for the woman too. She must abstain from anything coming from the vine; she must not take any wine or other fermented drink; she must not eat any unclean food. Before birth, he was to be kept in cleansed environment of salutary spotlessness. After birth he was to continue to live the same way: separated and consecrated for God all his life, pleasing the Lord and not the world.
If we hope to live great lives that will have remarkable impact on our world, then we must find out from the Lord how we ought to order our lives. The same applies to the children we are raising and the people we lead. When the Lord gives us the blueprint for leading and bringing up others and we follow such religiously, we can be sure of giving the world a blessing through those we bring up.
*THOUGHT FOR THE DAY* The new birth leads to more new births through a lifetime of evangelism.
*COVER TO COVER* 2 KINGS 7-8.
*MEDITATION*
*Godly Parental influence*
1. Both parents could hear the voice of God clearly vv6-9.
2. Both could pray and receive supernatural answers vv8,9.
3. The father rose to the challenge of spiritual headship of the family v8,9.
4. The mother was submissive to the husband v10. In fact, it was an example of a godly parent.
5. Both were committed to knowing and fulfilling the will of God for their child vv12-14. They did not take it for granted.
6. The man led in the prayers and the angel gave the revelation to the woman, yet there was no envy on the part of the man and insubordination on the part of the woman. Family unity and interdependence was visible.
*Q* Do you have a godly spiritual influence on the younger generation *(YOUR CHILDEN INCLUSIVE)* and converts?
*Q* Does God gives you personal revelation when you pray or you just rely on the revelation of others?
*HYMN* *GUIDE ME O THOU GREAT REDEEMER*
1. Guide me, O Thou great *Jehovah*
Pilgrim through this barren land;
I am weak, but Thou art mighty,
Hold me with Thy pow’rful hand.
Bread of heaven, Bread of heaven,
Feed me till I want no more;
Feed me till I want no more.
2. Open now the crystal fountain,
Whence the healing stream doth flow;
Let the fire and cloudy pillar
Lead me all my journey through.
Strong Deliv’rer, strong Deliv’rer,
Be Thou still my Strength and Shield;
Be Thou still my Strength and Shield.
3. Lord, I trust Thy mighty power,
Wondrous are Thy works of old;
Thou deliver’st Thine from thralldom,
Who for naught themselves had sold:
Thou didst conquer, Thou didst conquer
Sin and Satan and the grave,
Sin and Satan and the grave.
4. When I tread the verge of Jordan,
Bid my anxious fears subside;
Death of death and hell’s Destruction,
Land me safe on Canaan’s side.
Songs of praises, songs of praises,
I will ever give to Thee;
I will ever give to Thee.
*PRAYER POINTS*
1. Lord, build me a sure foundation of a godly home.
2. I want my home to be an example of a godly home. Correct all that may be wrong. I am willing to change for the better.
3. Lord, make my communication line with you to be free and clear. I want to be hearing you speak to me personally.
4. Lord, give our youths and children the hearts that love and obey the truth of the Word.
