Ephesians 6:16 GNB “At all times carry faith as a shield; for with it you will be able to put out all the burning arrows shot by the Evil One.”
◀️ LET’S TALK

Jesus came to destroy the works of the devil, and He achieved this purpose (1 John 3:8). He paralysed satan, demolished his works, and rendered him and his demons completely helpless. Colossians 2:15 (CEV) shows us how Jesus “...defeated all powers and forces. He let the whole world see being led away as prisoners when he celebrated his victory.” However, you have a part to play in keeping the devil and his cohorts where Jesus put them.
It’s true that satan is a defeated foe, but you’re to ensure that you’re shielded from his tricks and manipulations, so he doesn’t gain any foothold in your life. How do you do this? Ephesians 6:10-11 says it’s by putting on the whole armour of God. It’s your responsibility to put your armour on; God isn’t going to do it for you.
One of the weapons in your armour is the shield of faith. With the shield of faith, you’re able to extinguish all the fiery darts the enemy throws at you. You must therefore build your faith strong by learning and acting on the Word. Irrespective of what happens around you, refuse to fear; don’t give up or give in; speak the Word in faith.
