*ALLOW GOD TO LEAD YOU*
*TEXT:* EXODUS 4:27-31.
_*🔑KEY VERSE* "And the LORD said to Aaron, Go into the wilderness to meet Moses. And he went, and met him in the mount of God, and kissed him" (EXODUS 4:27)._

A quote from Amy Beatrice Carmichael, a Protestant Christian missionary in India, who wrote many books on the missionary work there, aptly captures the topic of our discussion today.
_"Strength of my heart, I need not fail, Not mind to fear but to obey, With such a Leader, who could quail? Thou art as Thou wert yesterday. Strength of my heart, I rest in Thee, Fulfill Thy purposes through me."_
Some people are at loss as to how to know and do the will of God. In the ensuing confusion, they take the law into their own hands and usually make wrong assumptions. This, in turn, leads to a more complicated situations, creating unnecessary problems where simple faith in God would have sufficed.
All through history, God has developed definitive ways of leading His children. Even when it appears that He has changed His original plan just because we crave some convenience and comfort, He would still stick to the first principles of getting His work done in His own way. There is never an argument when God is leading His people. He spoke to Aaron to go to the desert to welcome his brother, Moses, who narrated to him his experiences with God and the assignment he was to carry out. Together they gathered the Israelites, briefed them on God's plans for their nation, showed them the initial signs God had given Moses "and the people believed," and worshiped the Lord.
Never get to a point when you begin to think that you know your interests better. God alone knows what is good for you. Whether in the choice of career, a partner to marry, a place to live and do your business; indeed in every area of life, ask God to guide you and lead you into His perfect will. Therein lies the secret of peace and happiness, success and great accomplishments.
*THOUGHT FOR THE DAY* They that trust in the Lord shall be as mount Zion, which cannot be removed.

*MEDITATION*
Divine guidance: The only way to walk with God
_a. God spoke_ God speaks from eternity through His written word, audible voice, dreams, deep impression in our spirits and His prophets among others v27, Hebrews 1:1,2. For any voice to be taken as the voice of God, it must agree with the scriptures of truth. He who does not go to a living Church to hear the preaching of His word is missing an important aspect of guidance.
_b. Aaron listened and heard_ v27. Blocked minds and hears, hardened hearts, sinful and opinionated people, etc may not hear God even when He speaks. You must prayerfully prepare and purify your heart if you want to hear Him when He speaks.
*Lord*, I want to be hearing you clearly when you speak. Deal with every blockages to hearing your voice in my hears and heart🙏
_c. Aaron had a relationship with God_ v27. He was familiar with the voice of God, an indication that he had a relationship with God before this incidence. You must have a Father-son relationship with God through new birth if you want to enjoy His guidance.
*Lord*, I fully surrender my life to you with full repentance. Draw me closer🙏
_d. Aaron obeyed God immediately_ v27,31. Personal experience with God, fear of God, respect for God and faith in God will always be manifested in obedience. Obedience is a necessary condition for continuous guidance.
*Lord*, forgive me for my selective obedience. I hereby promise that I will always obey your voice. Give me the grace🙏
_e. God did not tell Aaron all he needed to know at once_ v28. God directed him to go to Moses for fuller information. God's guidance, properly interpreted, will never make you independent of your pastors and ministers. You need them for confirmation and perfection of your guidance.
*Pray* that God will purge and empower our pastors to be oracles of God indeed🙏
_f. There was confirmation that the guidance was from God_
God worked at both ends; Moses revelation only complemented that of Aaron but never contradicted it. God cannot contradict Himself. v29.
The elders of Israel also received witness in their spirits that it was from God v31.
The guidance increased, and not diminished, their love, reference and worship to God v31.
The guidance agreed with what God had promised Israel through the patriarchs (in the scriptures) of which they were expecting v31. Guidance must agree with the Word of God.
Supernatural supports backed up the guidance v30.

*HYMN* He leadeth me
1.
He leadeth me! O blessed thought,
O words with heav’nly comfort fraught;
Whate’er I do, where’er I be,
Still ’tis Christ’s hand that leadeth me.
He leadeth me! He leadeth me!
By His own hand He leadeth me;
His faithful follower I would be,
For by His hand He leadeth me.
2
Sometimes ’mid scenes of deepest gloom,
Sometimes where Eden’s bowers bloom,
By waters still, o’er troubled sea,
Still ’tis His hand that leadeth me.
3
Lord, I would clasp Thy hand in mine,
Nor ever murmur or repine;
Content, whatever lot I see,
Since it is Thou that leadest me.
4
And when my task on earth is done,
When, by Thy grace, the vict’ry’s won,
E’en death’s cold wave I will not flee,
Since Thou in triumph leadest me.
