*Have Faith in God's Mighty Saving Power*
_Romans 1:16, Romans 10:11-13, Isaiah 12:2_
_For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to everyone that believeth; *For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed. For the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon him. For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. *Behold, God is my salvation; I will trust, and not be afraid: for the LORD JEHOVAH is my strength and my song; he also is become my salvation._
The Greek word for salvation in the Bible is 'soterio' and it means to rescue, to make safe to deliver and to make whole. Being born again is part of what salvation means but it does not encapsulate the full experience. That is why our second text above assures us that whosoever calls upon the Lord shall be saved; not only saved from sin and the devil's power but saved in every single way. The very same way you believed in God to save you from sin and the devil’s power (when you were born again), you must also believe in Him to save you from every negative situation you may be facing.
The word salvation was used severally in the Old Testament (as in our final text above), but it was not in reference to anyone being born again. Psalm 68:19-20 (GNB) says, “Praise the Lord, who carries our burdens day after day; he is the God who saves us. Our God is a God who saves; he is the LORD, our Lord, who rescues us from death". In the same way God manifested His mighty power to save, i.e., by rescuing the Israelites out of their impossible looking situation in Egypt, God will manifest His mighty power to rescue you from every impossible looking situation that is not His will for your life. Do not stop believing in God's mighty saving power. When God brought Israel out of Egypt, He showed Himself as Jehovoh (Exo.6:3). The name Jehovah refers to God manifesting as a mighty warrior that wins victories and battles. As outlined in our last text, God will show you that He is Jehovah by saving you from that situation. You now have a right to God's mighty and abundant saving power because of Jesus. What Jesus did on the cross is God's eternal sign to you that He loves you dearly and will always save you. Keep your faith in Jesus.
Prayer: Dear Father, I believe that Your mighty saving power is always available to me because of Jesus and that it is manifesting in my life right now.
