Your Testimonies of God’s Overflowing Grace*
1 Corinthians 15:9-10 (NLT) For I am the least of all the apostles. In fact, I’m not even worthy to be called an apostle after the way I persecuted God’s church. But whatever I am now, it is all because God poured out his special favor on me – and not without results.
For I have worked harder than any of the other apostles; yet it was not I but God who was working through me by his grace.
2 Corinthians 9:8 (LB) God is able to make it up to you by giving you everything you need and more so that there will not only be enough for your own needs but plenty left over to give joyfully to others.
As you keep your focus on Christ, the grace of God is not only going to fill your life, it is going to overflow from your life that people will have testimonies because of you. One major result of being conscious of God’s grace is that it builds and strengthens your faith in God and not in yourself. As your faith in god grows and is strengthened you will experience the supply of the Holy Spirit and God will work many miracles in your life, Gal. 3:5. In Acts 3:12 & 16, Peter said it was not by his power or holiness that he made the lame man walk but by the faith that comes form Jesus. Another fruit of God’s grace is that it will make you reflect the love of God to others. You will not only forgive others as Christ has forgiven you, you will abundantly give to others like the brethren in the Macedonian Church joyfully did despite their deep poverty, 2 Cor. 8:1-5. You will bear the burdens of others and you will pray and intercede for them too. You will be more patient with others. Many people are going to hear about your faith in Jesus and your love for all the saints, Col. 1:4.
The grace of God will also produce great hope, passion, diligence and excellence in your life. This hope, passion, diligence and excellence will reflect in your personal life, work and also in your attitude towards God and His work. Just like Jesus, you will do all things well (Mark 7:37) because you can do all things through Christ that strengthens you, Phil. 4:13. Just like Jesus, it will be said of you that the zeal for God’s house will consume you, John 2:17. You will not practice eye service. Your light will so shine that people will see your good works and glorify your Father in Heaven, Matt. 5:16. You will be fruitful and productive in all your endeavours. You will be joyful and so full of strength and divine ideas.
Faith Declaration:
My life is full and overflowing with God’s abundant love and grace. The grace of God is producing great results both in me and for me.
Bible in one year reading plan: Leviticus 1-3, Matthew 24:1-28.
