ABOVE ONLY DEVOTIONAL
THURSDAY 13TH FEBRUARY 2020
FEED AND EXERCISE THE NATURE OF GOD THAT IS IN YOU
1 PETER 2:2-3(NLT), ACTS 20:32(NLT), EPHESIANS 6:18(CEV).
1 Peter 2:2-3(NLT) "Like newborn babies, you must crave pure spiritual milk so that you will grow into a full experience of salvation. Cry out for this nourishment, now that you have had a taste of the Lord's kindness."

Acts 20:32(NLT) "And now I entrust you to God and the message of his grace that is able to build you up and give you an inheritance with all those he has set apart for himself."
Ephesians 6:18(CEV) "Never stop praying, especially for others. Always pray by the power of the Spirit. Stay alert and keep praying for God's people."
In addition to patiently continuing to exercise the nature of God that is in us, we must continue to feed ourselves spiritually. We must feed ourselves with revelation of Christ. If you read the last verse of '1Peter', you will see that the sincere milk of the word that '1 Peter 2:2' is referring to is the gospel; which is the revelation of Christ.
The word of God contains the life of God. We must also continually saturate our lives with prayers and fellowship with God and with other believers. In prayer and fellowship with God and other believers, the life of God is activated more and more. We must continue to pray and not faint (Luke 18:1). We must also give ourselves to praying in the spirit(Jude 20) and yielding ourselves to the spirit.
If we do not feed and exercise the nature of God in us, we will cheat ourselves of the great fruitfulness and productivity that God has in store for us. 2 Peter 1:9-11(NLT) "But those who fail to develop in this way are shortsighted or blind, forgetting that they have been cleansed from their old sins.
So, dear brothers and sisters, work hard to prove that you really are among those God has called and chosen. Do these things, and you will never fall away. Then God will give you a grand entrance into the eternal Kingdom of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ." Now this is not just about your entry Heaven but about how you enter Heaven. What Christ has done for you has given you access but what you do with what christ has given you will determine how productive and fruitful you will be with the life of Christ in you. It will determine the quality of your work(1 Corinthians 3:13-15) and the reward that you are going to get when Christ comes again (Revelations 22:12).
PRAYER FOCUS:
Pray in the spirit right now and receive God's grace to keep feeding and exercising His characters and nature that is in you.
