Keep Aligning Yourself With God's Will and Purpose
Amos 3:3, Romans 12:2 (GNB), James 4:3
Can two walk together, except they be agreed? *Do not conform yourselves to the standards of this world, but let God transform you inwardly by a complete change of your mind. Then you will be able to know the will of God—what is good and is pleasing to him and is perfect. *Yet even when you do pray, your prayers are not answered, because you pray just for selfish reasons.

God wants His kingdom to come and His will to be done on earth just as it is in Heaven. This can only happen as you and I align ourselves more and more to God's will and purpose. Jesus showed us a perfect example of this while He was on the earth. He never sought His will to be done but the will of God the Father. This is why He continually prayed earnestly and communed with God the Father the way that He did. He only said what He heard the Father say, (John 12:49) and did what He saw the Father doing, (John 5:17&19.)
So many benefits will follow the alignment of our lives to God's will and purpose. The first and greatest one is that our lives will continually be transformed. God's highest purpose is that we be just like Jesus, Rom.8:29. Jesus is God's perfect will and purpose for our lives. As we focus on Jesus continually, the Spirit of God is transforming us into more of Jesus' likeness, 2Cor.3:18.
Our prayer lives will also be more effective. We will know what God wants and we will be able to pray in line with God's will, 1John 5:14. We will experience God's abundant grace and provision. As we seek first His kingdom and His righteousness, all other things will be added to us, Matt. 6:33. We will be more fruitful (Col.1:9-11), strong and able to do God's will in whatever situation we find ourselves. God will have more confidence in us (Gen.18:17-19) and He will be able to use us more to advance His kingdom and will on this earth because we will know and understand Him better.
PRAYER FOCUS: Ask God to make you more like Jesus and tell Him you want to know Him and do His will even more.
