| You Are Empowered for Godly Living |
2Peter 1:3 (NLT, AMP)
By his divine power, God has given us everything we need for living a godly life. We have received all of this by coming to know him, the one who called us to himself by means of his marvelous glory and excellence. *For His divine power has bestowed on us [absolutely] everything necessary for [a dynamic spiritual] life and godliness, through true and personal knowledge of Him who called us by His own glory and excellence.
 The more empowered you believe you are, the bolder and more confident you will be as you embark on a particular task. In the same way, the more conscious you are of God's glorious life and power at work on the inside of you, the more you will be able to yield to God in order to manifest that glorious life and power. Your nature has not only been changed, God Himself is now working in you by His Spirit to enable you to manifest His life and divine nature. In the Contemporary English Version, Philippians 2:13 says, “God is working in you to make you willing and able to obey him.” In the Good News Bible, this same verse says, “God is always at work in you to make you willing and able to obey his own purpose.”
You are different. You are a totally new being. You are not who you used to be before. God's divine life and power are at work within you. You can now do things that you could not do before. Too many believers feel that they do not have what it takes to live godly lives. But it is this very lie that serves to limit them and causes them to cut themselves off from the supply and flow of God's life both in and through them. Beloved, the negative influence in your environment is not stronger than the life of God that is on the inside of you. Listen, if people like Joseph and Daniel could remain godly in very fetish and corrupt environments, then you and I can certainly do the same and even much more as we acknowledge the greater empowerment for godliness that God has given us in Christ.
FAITH DECLARATION: I have God's nature and life in me. God is also at work in me, making me desirous and able to do His will.
