Matthew 28:18-20, Acts 8:5&8
Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore, go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.” *Then Philip went down to the city of Samaria, and preached Christ unto them. *And there was great joy in that city.

Every time a soul is saved and brought into right relationship with God through faith in Christ, the kingdom of God is advancing on the earth. This is why there is great joy in Heaven every time a sinner repents, Luke 15:10. This same joy needs to always fill our hearts. Nothing brings joy to God's heart like the deliverance and transfer of souls from the kingdom of darkness into His kingdom, Col.1:13. This is why Christ came down to this earth as a man and suffered and died for us. A single soul of man is worth far more than all the wealth on the earth put together, Mark 8:36. We are minsters of reconciliation and ambassadors of Christ, 2Cor.5:18-20. All men have been reconciled by God through the death of His Son Jesus Christ (Rom.5:10), but not all men have accepted this reconciliation.
It is our duty to let them know what Christ has done for them so they can receive God's salvation and life that have been freely made available to them in Christ. Avoid the temptation of condemning unbelievers because God did not send Jesus into the world to condemn the world. Rather, Jesus was sent to die for the sins of the world and to save all men and bring them into right relationship with Himself. We also do not give up on people. Jesus did not just call us to make converts, but to make disciples. We must be very concerned about the spiritual growth and maturity of those who become saved. We must pray for them, visit them, show them love, teach them God's word, encourage them and give them helpful materials to stir growth in their relationship with God.
PRAYER FOCUS: Pray for souls to be saved and established. Pray for God to keep using you, other believers and missionaries to reach out to the world.
