2Chronicles 20:20-22 (GNB)
..., Jehoshaphat addressed them with these words: "People of Judah and Jerusalem! Put your trust in the LORD your God, and you will stand your ground. Believe what his prophets tell you, and you will succeed." … the king ordered some musicians to put on the robes they wore on sacred occasions and to march ahead of the army, singing: "Praise the LORD! His love is eternal!" When they began to sing, the LORD threw the invading armies into a panic.

Do you know that the name Judah means praise? I believe that the blessings that Jacob pronounced on his son, Judah, in Genesis 49:8-12 are part of the blessings that God bestows on us as we praise Him. In the Good News Bible, verses 9 and 10 say, “Judah is like a lion, Killing his victim and returning to his den, Stretching out and lying down. No one dares disturb him. Judah will hold the royal scepter, And his descendants will always rule. Nations will bring him tribute And bow in obedience before him.” Whenever you are praise God, Jesus, the Lion of the Tribe of Judah, is released both in you and in your situation. As we declare His power and lordship in praises, He manifests that power and lordship in our lives.
Psalm 22:3 says, “but thou art holy, O thou that inhabitest the praises of Israel.” The New King James Version of the same verse says, but You are holy, enthroned in the praises of Israel. Whenever you praise God, you are enthroning Him as Lord over your life and situation so He manifests Himself in you. Our text above reveals that Jehoshaphat (the king of Judah) knew how to praise God and as a result, He experienced the dominion and power of God. After praying to God about the threat, God sent His Word to His people and as they began to praise Him because of what He had said, He manifested Himself gloriously in their lives. As you praise and worship God, expressing your faith in who He is, you will experience His glory, power and dominion in and through your life.
