| Proof of a Renewed Mind |

Colossians 3:8-11But now ye also put off all these; anger, wrath, malice, blasphemy, filthy communication out of your mouth. Lie not one to another, seeing that ye have put off the old man with his deeds; And have put on the new man, which is renewed in knowledge after the image of him that created him: Where there is neither Greek nor Jew, circumcision nor uncircumcision, Barbarian, Scythian, bond nor free: but Christ is all, and in all.
The major proof that your mind is being renewed by the Word of God is that there is a change or transformation in the way that you see and think about things. You begin to see and think about things the way God sees and thinks about them. Even the way you see yourself changes. As a result, there are certain things that pertain to the way you previously saw or thought about yourself that you will naturally let go of because they are now inconsistent with your new mentality. Certain new things will also enter your life.
You will also treat people differently because your perception about them has changed. Your passions and desires will change. You will begin to have the heart of God and passion for people and for things. The image of Christ will be formed in you and it will be the most controlling factor in your life. You will no longer judge or view yourself by who you are in the physical, but rather, by who you are in Christ.
The Word of God is alive and powerful (Heb.4:12) and these changes and transformations will continue to take place in your life as you desire and meditate on God's Word (Rom.12:2). The Word of God is Spirit and life, John 6:63. It carries the very life of God in it and the Spirit of God works with the Word of God to make it flesh (come alive) in you. Keep desiring and meditating on God's Word. Through it, the Spirit of God is transforming your life.
