He Knows How You Feel

He Knows How You Feel

Hebrews 4:14-16 (NKJV)
Seeing then that we have a great High Priest who has passed through the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our confession. For we do not have a High Priest who cannot sympathize with our weaknesses, but was in all points tempted as we are, yet without sin. Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need.

Author PhotoIt is important that we remember that our Lord and Savior Christ Jesus once lived on the earth as a man. He was born as a child and grew up like every single one of us. While on earth as a man, Jesus experienced everything we experience today. He had His fair share of challenges and temptations, as it is written: he was in all points tempted as we are, yet without sin (Heb. 4:15)

There is no challenge that you may be going through today that is unique to just you. There is nothing you are going through today, child of God, that is a punishment. Repel the lie of the enemy that Jesus does not understand what you are going through because verse fifteen of our text says, For we do not have a High Priest who cannot sympathize with our weaknesses.

Beloved, Jesus knows all about your troubles. In fact, He knows exactly how you feel because while on the earth, He also experienced challenges. But the good news is that not only does He know how you feel, He has carried upon Himself once and for all time your pain, your griefs and your sorrows. Isaiah 53 assures us of this fact. So rejoice, child of God, you no longer carry sorrow and grief because Jesus Christ has already carried them for you. All you now have to do is come boldly to the throne of grace to obtain mercy and find help in your time of need.

PRAYER FOCUS:
Heavenly Father, thank You for Your love and the gift of Christ by whom all my sorrow and grief have been carried away. I come boldly today to Your throne of grace and I obtain mercy and help for my life. Amen.
