The Unstoppable Power of God’s Word & Promises
Luke 19:37-40 And when he was come nigh, … the whole multitude of the disciples began to rejoice and praise God with a loud voice … Saying, Blessed be the King that cometh in the name of the Lord: peace in heaven, and glory in the highest. And some of the Pharisees from among the multitude said unto him, Master, rebuke thy disciples. And he answered and said unto them, I tell you that, if these should hold their peace, the stones would immediately cry out.
When you grasp the revelation that the word, promise and will of God for your life cannot be changed or stopped, a divine boldness and confidence will fill your heart. When the Pharisees wanted Jesus to stop the people who were rejoicing and praising God as He entered Jerusalem, Jesus told them that even if they stopped, the stones would immediately cry out. In other words, the stones would immediately take their place and start rejoicing and praising God because that is what God would have ordered to happen. The truth is that the people who were rejoicing and praising God were not just doing so because they felt like it; they were doing so because God was causing them to.
In Esther 4:14, Mordecai told Esther that if she did not stand for the children of Israel, God would raise deliverance for them from some other means. He was certain that God would deliver them. Even though there was famine in the land of Israel, God commanded ravens to bring food for Elijah, 1Kings 17:4-6. God caused a donkey to speak, simply to get a message across to Balaam, Num.22:28-30. God used four ‘lepers’ to bring about an abundant harvest into Israel according to His word through Elisha, 2Kings 7:1-16. I declare unto you, child of God, that concerning every word, promise and will of God for your life, nothing and no one can change what God has planned. Instead of God to change His plan, He will change the means. His word and promises will surely come to pass.
PRAYER FOCUS: Declare God’s word and promises over your life now and thank Him that His Word and promises are unstoppable.
