*Stay with the Word of God 2*
_2 Tim 4:2-4 (NIV)_

They will turn their ears away from the truth and turn aside to myths.__Preach the Word; be prepared in season and out of season; correct, rebuke and encourage — with great patience and careful instruction. We must continue to measure and sift everything that we preach and believe with the word of God; or else we are going to be cheated and exploited from the glorious life that God has destined for us. Colossians 2:6-10 (NIV) says, so then, just as you received Christ Jesus as Lord, continue to live in him, rooted and built up in him, strengthened in the faith as you were taught, and overflowing with thankfulness. See to it that no one takes you captive through hollow and deceptive philosophy, which depends on human tradition and the basic principles of this world rather than on Christ. For in Christ all the fullness of the Deity lives in bodily form, and you have been given fullness in Christ, who is the head over every power and authority.
Jesus is the Word of God, John 1:1&14. The entire scriptures point to Him and witness about Him (John 5:39). God wants us to hear Him, Matt.17:5. Why do you think Apostle Paul said he was not ashamed of the gospel of Christ, Rom.1:16? Beyond being bold to stand and witness for Christ, he was emphasizing the point that the gospel of Christ is the power of God and nothing else. Christ is the wisdom and the power of God, 1Cor.2:2-4. Everything we preach and believe must align and be consistent with what God has done for us in Christ. Acts 5:42 says, and daily in the temple, and in every house, they ceased not to teach and preach Jesus Christ. This is why the early believers experienced great manifestations of God's power in their lives.
PRAYER:
Dear Father, please continue to fill me with the revelation of Christ and the wonderful things that You have done for me in Him.
