*The Lord Has Been Your Strength and Help*
_Psalms 18:1-2, 17 & 19 (NIV), Psalm 103:1 (NKJV)_
_I love you, O LORD, my strength. The LORD is my rock, my fortress and my deliverer; my God is my rock, in whom I take refuge. He is my shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold. *He rescued me from my powerful enemy, from my foes, who were too strong for me. *He brought me out into a spacious place; he rescued me because he delighted in me. *Bless the LORD, O my soul; … all that is within me, bless His holy name!_
Are you ready to praise and give God thanks today like never before? In Psalm 124:1 & 6-8 (GNB) the Bible says, what if the LORD had not been on our side? Answer, O Israel! *Let us thank the LORD, who has not let our enemies destroy us. We have escaped like a bird from a hunter's trap; the trap is broken, and we are free! Our help comes from the LORD, who made heaven and earth. In Psalm 34:4 (NIV), David said, I sought the LORD, and he answered me; he delivered me from all my fears. Thank God for the answers to every prayer you prayed this year. Thank Him for all the unseen battles He fought and won on your behalf this year.
Did you travel and return safely? Thank God for journey mercies. Did you experience God's provision of your needs and deliverance from various forms of threat and evil this year? Did you experience God's favour and blessings that you know you were undeserving or unqualified for? Praise Him, worship Him and thank Him from your heart for all of these things. In Psalm 103:2-5 (NLT), David said, Let all that I am praise the LORD; may I never forget the good things he does for me. He forgives all my sins and heals all my diseases. He redeems me from death and crowns me with love and tender mercies. He fills my life with good things. My youth is renewed like the eagle's! Every progress, growth or increase was not because you were strong, rich, intelligent or beautiful but because the Lord has been your strength, your rock and your refuge and because He delights in you.
PRAYER:
Thank God for loving and delighting in you. Thank Him for being your strength and your help this year.
