*We Are Just Like Jesus*

_1 John 3:1-2 (NIV)_
_How great is the love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God! And that is what we are! The reason the world does not know us is that it did not know him. Dear friends, now we are children of God, and what we will be has not yet been made known. But we know that when he appears, we shall be like him, for we shall see him as he is._

The Father's love for you is so real and mind blowing that in our text above, Apostle John had to shout and say,“O how great is the love the father has lavished on us.” God's love for you is extravagant, it is wasteful and abounds towards you in excess. God has made you his son and daughter, just like Jesus is to Him. This is true. You just have to believe it. It may not look like it now and the world may not believe it about you, but that does not change the truth. Our text above shows us that the reason the world does not know us as children of God is because they did not know Jesus either. They did not believe that Jesus is the Son of God. However, that did not stop Jesus from experiencing and manifesting God's life, glory and power. Whether the world knows us or not, they cannot limit us from experiencing and manifesting God's life, glory and power in every area of our lives, just like Jesus.

Never allow anyone to give you an impression of yourself that God does not have of you. In the sight of God, you are his beloved Child, just like Christ. You are not anything less. Never allow the issues of life cause you to doubt God's love for you. Remind yourself that God loved you so much that He sent Jesus to the earth to die for you and together with Jesus, He has freely given you all things, Rom.8:32. Remind yourself that you are just like Jesus to God and that God will never turn his back on you. Activate the power and blessings in the life of God that you have right now. Meditate on God's word concerning all that He has made you and done for you in Christ so that you can keep standing, declaring, praying and holding on to it.

Heavenly Father, I thank You for loving me and making me Your child just like Jesus! Hallelujah!!
