*Be Fervent in Spirit*
_Jude 7:17-20 (GNB)_
_But remember; my friends, what you were told in the past by the apostles of our Lord Jesus Christ. They said to you, "When the last days come, people will appear who will make fun of you, people who follow their own godless deares." These are the people who cause divisions, who are controlled by their natural desires, who do not have the Spirit. But you, my friends, keep on building yourselves up on your most sacred faith. Pray m the power of the Holy._

There are two parallels that are occurring in these last days. Gross darkness is covering the people of the earth and God's light and glory is increasing upon the people of God, Isa. 60:1-2. lniquity is abounding and the love of many are growing cold (Matt. 24:12). However, God's mountain is being exalted and many nations are flowing into it, seeking the knowledge of God's ways and to walk in His path, lsa. 2:2. As evil and carnality increase, righteousness and spirituality are also increasing. What side do you belong? Those who choose to remain carnal, intentionally cut themselves out of God's life, while those who choose to remain spiritually minded are connecting more with God's life and peace, Rom. 8:5,-6.
Some people will deliberately despise spiritual things in order to discourage us from growing in our spirituality. Because of their carnal mind, they do not understand the things of God because these things are spiritually discerned, 1 Cor. 2:14. The eyes of such people have been blinded by the god and the things of this world, 2 Cor. 4:4. They have made their appetites their god, they only think of earthly things and they are heading for destruction, Phil. 3:19. Child of God, being spiritual is not about being spooky, religious, sin conscious, superstitious or suspicious of people. It is about being like Christ. It is about being strong in the revelation of Christ and being consumed by the passion of Christ. It is about valuing God's Word, prayer and the things of God. It is about seeing people and things the way God sees them. It is about loving righteousness and hating iniquity. It is about having the love of God burning strong in our hearts. It is about being strong in the grace of Jesus.
Faith Declaration: I am fervent in spirit. I love righteousness and I hate iniquity. I am like Christ and I am passionate about the things of God.
Bible in one year reading plan: Judges 4-6, Luke 4:31-44.
