*Be a Blessing to Someone Today*
_Galatians 6:2 (NIV & LB), 1 John 3:16-17 (GNB), Romans 12:10 & 13_
_Carry each other's burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ. *Share each other's troubles and problems, and so obey our Lord's command. *... Christ gave his life for us. We too, then, ought to give our lives for others! If we are rich and see others in need, yet close our hearts against them, how can we claim that we love God? *Be kindly affectioned one to another with brotherly love, in honour preferring one another; *Distributing to the necessity of saints; given to hospitality._

You are a channel of God's grace and blessing unto others. You are God's eyes, ears, hands, feet and heart. He wants to love, heal, help and touch people through you every single day. He wants to use you to bring hope and healing unto many and He wants to use you to bring many into His Kingdom and His will for their lives. God wants you and me to move from being concerned about our sustenance alone to being available to be used by Him to supply the needs of others and to be a blessing unto them. Remember that we are blessed to be a blessing. This was a major underlying principle and driving force of Jesus' life and it should be a major principle and driving force in your life.
Meditate upon how Jesus went about doing good and healing all who were oppressed of the devil (Acts 10:38) and know that since Jesus has sent you the way the Father sent Him, you are meant to do the same. Let your greatest satisfaction come from doing God's will and being a blessing to others, John 4:34. Meditate on how Abraham took the men of his household and they risked their lives to fight and rescue Lot when he was captured (Gen. 14:14). Meditate on how Joseph showed concern for his fellow inmates and even helped to interpret their dreams (Gen. 40:68). We don't bear the burdens of others because we don't have burdens of our own; we bear the burdens of others because of the love of God that we have in our hearts. Remember that what we do to the least of Christ's flock, we do unto Him, Matt. 25:40. Ask God to reveal to you who you can help and be a blessing today. Trust me, God will lead you and use you mightily to do this. He will also bless and reward you for it, Heb. 6:10, Rev. 22:12.
Prayer Focus: Pray for anyone or family that you know desires God's touch. Ask God to use you and other believers to be a blessing to others today.
Bible in one year reading plan: Judges 13-15, Luke 6:27--49
