*DAILY MANNA*
*WEDNESDAY, MARCH 4 2020*
*FAITH FOR THE IMPOSSIBLE*
*TEXT:* ISAIAH 38:1-8.
_*🔑KEY VERSE* "Then Hezekiah turned his face toward the wall, and prayed unto the LORD" (ISAIAH 38:2)._

Challenges come in life at various times from various sources and for various reasons. These challenges could sometimes shake a man to the very foundation of his life. At such times, only faith would avail.
Hezekiah had been very sick and God, through the prophet Isaiah, announced his death as the inevitable result of the sickness. Hezekiah's response in earnest prayer and confidence in God's ability to heal his physical sickness attracted divine mercy and immediate answer to his petition. He did not only get healed, he also had fifteen extra years added to his life span. How the prayer of faith calms the storm!
Two things are notable in this dramatic episode. One, the exemplary response of Hezekiah to the seemingly 'unchangeable' prophecy from a recognised and respected man of God. Two, the speed by which heaven responded to his request: "And it came to pass, afore Isaiah was gone out into the middle court, that the word of the Lord came to him, saying, turn again, and tell Hezekiah the captain of my people, thus saith the LORD, the God of David thy father, I have heard thy prayer, I have seen thy tears: behold, I will heal thee: on the third day that shalt go up into the house of the LORD (2 Kings 20:4).
If Hezekiah could through faith reverse his negative situation, change the mind of God and get extra fifteen years, then, you too can change the negative medical record against your life, unlock every door the enemy has shut against you, attract the mercy of God and calm all storms presently raging in your life, home, career, secular work and ministry. "If thou canst believe, all things are possible to him that believeth" (Mark 9:23).
*THOUGHT FOR THE DAY* Your faith cannot be turned down!
*COVER TO COVER* LEVITICUS 21-24.
*MEDITATION*
How to change a negative prophecy
1. The prophecy of Hezekiah's dying at 39 was given by God even though he had not committed any sin vv1,3.
*Q* Why do you think God wanted him to come and be with Him at this prime age? Isaiah 57:1
In fact, his only son Manasseh, who destroyed virtually all his righteous legacies, was born 4 years after this incidence 2Kings 21:1,2. He also made the greatest mistake of his life after this incidence 2Kings 20:14-19.
a. Some so called untimely deaths of the righteous are the will of God and for the good of the person.
b. If prayer can change the prophetic will of God, how much more of negative prophecies?
c. Saints, who are truly righteous, can at times postpone their death if they wish.
d. True saints have power over death.
e. Who has more spiritual authority? A mere visionary or a prayer warrior?
2. Hezekiah had developed his prayer acumen before now. He did not even bother to ask the biased prophet to pray for him. He did it himself v2.
3. What is the position of perfection of heart, passion, positive faith in God and perseverance in his short destiny changing prayers? v3
4. An example of prayer that heaven cannot deny even though it was the permissive will of God! vv5,6.
5. Prayer can do anything God can do.
*Ask* the Holy Spirit to take you to a higher school of prayer🙏
*Pray* that God will teach to be submissive and never to prove wiser that the will of God for your life🙏
*Lord*, let continuously growing perfection of heart be my daily exercise and prayers🙏
*Take* authority, resist and reject any satanic drum of untimely death in your church 🙏
*HYMN* Did you think to pray?
1. Ere you left your room this morning,
Did you think to pray?
In the name of Christ our Savior,
Did you sue for loving favor,
As a shield today?
*Chorus:*
Oh, how praying rests the weary!
Prayer will change the night to day;
So in sorrow and in gladness,
Don’t forget to pray.
2 When you met with great temptation,
Did you think to pray?
By His dying love and merit,
Did you claim the Holy Spirit
As your guide and stay? (Chorus)
3 When your heart was filled with anger,
Did you think to pray?
Did you plead for grace, my brother,
That you might forgive another
Who had crossed your way? (Chorus)
4 When sore trials came upon you,
Did you think to pray?
When your soul was bowed in sorrow,
Balm of Gilead did you borrow
At the gates of day? (Chorus)
