Have Faith in God’s Timing
Habakkuk 2:2-3 … Write the vision, and make it pain upon tables, that he may run that readeth it. For the vision is yet for an appointed time, but at the end it shall speak, and no lie: though it tarry, wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not tarry.
Ecclesiastes 3:9-11a (NLT) What do people really get for all their hard work? I have seen the burden God has placed on us all. Yet God has made everything beautiful for its own time.
Genesis 18:14 Is anything too hard for the Lord? At the time appointed I will return unto thee, according to the time of life, and Sarah shall have a son.
The Bible says hope deferred makes the heart sick, Prov. 13:12. How exactly does hope get deferred? Hope is deferred when a person’s desire does not happen when or how they want it. But you must know as a believer that some things will not happen how and when you want it because God has a bigger and better plan, Isa. 55:8-9. God is able to do exceedingly above all you can ask or think, Eph. 3:20. Do not be discouraged or heart broken. The Bible says, “let not thine heart envy sinners: but be thou in the fear of the Lord all the day long. For surely there is and end; and thine expectation shall not be cut off” Prov. 23:17-18. God says, “I alone know the plans I have for you, plans to bring you prosperity and not disaster, plans to bring about the future you hope for. Then you will call to me. You will come and pray to me, and I will answer you. You will seek me, and you will find me because you will seek me with all your heart,” Jer. 29:11-13. Have faith in God’s timing. “God is not a man, that he should lie, neither the son of man, that he should repent: hath he said, and shall be not do it? Or hath he spoken, and shall he not make it good,” Numb. 23:19?
The person that Joseph helped and asked to remember him actually forgot him for two whole years (Gen. 40:20-23), but when God’s time came for Joseph to come out of the prison, God put a disturbing dream in Pharaoh’s heart, Gen. 41:1. Thank God that Joseph did not lose heart and give up. God is orchestrating things for you beyond your wildest imaginations. At the appointed time Sarah gave birth to Isaac. Your appointed time is coming. God’s Word will not return to Him void. It will just yield yourself to God and keep following His leading.
Prayer:
I trust in your timing Dear Lord. Help me to wait on you and keep following your leading. I know you have a better plan. Strengthen my heart.
Bible in one year reading plan: Numbers 35-36, Mark 10:1-31.
