The Rain and Dew of Heaven (2)

The Rain and Dew of Heaven (2)

THURSDAY
JUNE. 8

 Isaiah 55:10-11 (NIV)
As the rain and the snow come down from heaven, and do not return to it without watering the earth and making it bud and flourish, so that it yields seed for the sower and bread for the eater, so is my word that goes out from my mouth: It will not return to me empty, but will accomplish what I desire and achieve the purpose for which I sent it.

IAs we see in our text above, rain in the Bible is also used to symbolize the word of God. One way that God pours out the rain and dew of Heaven upon us is by reminding us of His will and promises that He has sent to us by the help of His Spirit, John 14:26. As you remember God's Will and His Promises concerning your life and situation, it will make you divinely fruitful and prosperous in that situation, Psa.1:2-3. Every word that God has spoken about your life and situation will manifest. As rain does not stop midway in the air and to return back to the clouds, God's word and promises will not terminate prematurely in your life. They will rain upon your life and manifest. They will make you fruitful and prosperous.

As you remember God's Word and His promises, the wisdom of God is also stirred up in you. You will know what to do and know God's will pertaining to your life and situation. Being filled with the knowledge of God's will causes you to please God; it will make you fruitful and more knowledgeable concerning the things of God, Col.1:9-10. According to Isaiah 55:12-13, the result of the Word of God raining on your life is that “[y]ou will go out in joy and be led forth in peace; the mountains and hills will burst into song before you, and all the trees of the field will clap their hands. Instead of the thorn bush will grow the pine tree, and instead of briers the myrtle will grow. This will be for the Lord's renown, for an everlasting sign, which will not be destroyed."
PRAYER: Heavenly Father, I ask today that by Your Spirit You will cause me to remember Your Will and Promises for my life and fill me with Your wisdom that will make me fruitful and prosperous.
