| Place Your Hope in God’s Unfailing Love | |
Psalm 147:7-8a & 10-12 (NLT), Psalm 130:7 (NLT) Sing out your thanks to the LORD; sing praises to our God with a harp. He covers the heavens with clouds, provides rain for the earth, … *He takes no pleasure in the strength of a horse or in human might. No, the LORD’s delight is in those who fear him, those who put their hope in his unfailing love. Glorify the LORD, O Jerusalem! Praise your God, O Zion! *O Israel, hope in the LORD; for with the LORD there is unfailing love. His redemption overflows.
The greatness and unfailing nature of God’s love is one thing that the world and majority of believers remain ignorant of, thus affecting our countenance and attitude to life. The reason the countenance and attitudes of many believers can be very erratic is because of the kind of temporal things we focus and fix our hope on. We actually need God’s grace and strength to understand the vastness and various dimensions of His very great love for us.
Right now, I am praying for you the same way that Apostle Paul prayed in Ephesians 3:16-19 (NLT): “I pray that from his glorious, unlimited resources he will empower you with inner strength through his Spirit. Then Christ will make his home in your hearts as you trust in him. Your roots will grow down into God’s love and keep you strong. And may you have the power to understand, as all God’s people should, how wide, how long, how high, and how deep his love is. May you experience the love of Christ, though it is too great to understand fully. Then you will be made complete with all the fullness of life and power that comes from God.
The more you understand the breadth of God’s unfailing love, the more you will be able to place your hope in Him. As you focus more on God’s unfailing love, you will be more hopeful, joyful and thankful. His abundance will be activated in your life.
PRAYER FOCUS: My faith is in Your unfailing love for me, dear Lord! Please flood my heart with the revelation of Your great love for me.
