*Do not he Ashamed of Carrying out Your Assignment*
*2 Corinthians 5:18-19 (LB), Romans 1:16 (NLT)*
God ... brought us back to himself through what Christ Jesus did.
God has given us the privilege of urging everyone to come into his favor and be reconciled to him. For God was in Christ, restoring the world to himself, no longer counting men's sins against them but blotting them out. This is the wonderful message he has given us to tell others. *For I am not ashamed of this Good News about Christ. It is the power of God at work, saving everyone who believes. ..."_
The assignment of preaching the gospel to every creature is one that God has given to all His children; It is not for leaders, pastors, or bishops alone. We all are minsters of reconciliation. This is why Apostle Paul told Timothy to do the work of an evangelist, 2Tim.4:5. We have all been given the rare privilege of preaching the good news about the love of God in Christ Jesus so that the eyes of sinners will be open, they will turn from darkness to light and from the power of Satan unto God and they will receive the forgiveness of their sins and the power and blessings that God has provided for them in Christ, Acts 26:18. God has promised to save everyone who believes this message about His love in Christ (1 Cor 1:21 ) and He has promised to confirm the preaching of the gospel with signs and wonders following, Mark 16:15-20.
When you understand the gospel of Christ and its great power, you will not be ashamed of preaching it. You will run with passion and use every means possible to declare it unto others. In Luke 9:26 Jesus said, for whosoever shall be ashamed of me and of my words, of him shall the Son of man be ashamed, when he shall come in his own glory, and in his Father's, and of the holy angels. I am glad that you are not ashamed of Jesus and His message and so Jesus will not be ashamed of you when He returns. He will say unto you well done my good and faithful servant and He will reward you abundantly for your labour of love in preaching the gospel.
*Prayer Focus:*
Thank God for the great privilege He has given you to preach the gospel of Christ. Ask Him to use you to reach others today.
