*If it had not been for the Lord on our Side*
_Psalms 124:1-8 (LB)_
_If the Lord had not been on our side (let all Israel admit it), if the Lord had not been on our side we would have been swallowed alive by our enemies, destroyed by their anger. We would have drowned beneath the food of these men's fury and pride. Blessed be Jehovah who has not let them devour us. We have escaped with our lives as a bird from a hunter's snare. The snare is broken and we are free! Our help is from the Lord who made heaven and earth._
Today, I want us to praise, worship and thank God like never before because of how He has graciously been on our side; loving us, keeping us and preserving us from every evil and plan of the enemy. Just like He sent Jesus to save and deliver us from the power of darkness (Col.1:13), He has been delivering us from the plans and traps of the wicked. Romans 8:31 says, what shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us? In Isaiah 54:15, God said, behold, they shall surely gather together, but not by me: whosoever shall gather together against thee shall fall for thy sake. In verse 17 God said, no weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; ...In the Good News Bible, Numbers 23:23 says , there is no magic charm, no witchcraft, That can be used against the nation of Israel. Now people will say about Israel, 'Look what God has done!
It is by His mercies that we have not been consumed by all the evil that the devil planned to bring our way to consume us. His mercies have been new every morning. Oh great is His faithfulness, Lam. 3:22-23. While we were asleep or busy going about our lives, He was fighting and winning so many unseen battles on our behalf. His angels were ministering to us and for us. He kept us saved. All of these divine preservations that we have received were in no way because of our wisdom, wealth, beauty, connections, experience or any ther thing of ourselves. They were all by the abundant grace and the mercy of God towards us.
Thanksgiving Prayer: Dear Father, I praise, worship and thank You today for how you have by my side and preserved me this year.
