*CHRIST'S GLORIOUS KINGDOM*
*TEXT:* PSALM 101:1-8.
_*🔑KEY VERSE* "Mine eyes shall be upon the faithful of the land, that they may dwell with me: he that walketh in a perfect way, he shall serve me" (PSALM 101:6)._
Paul the apostle was privileged to be "caught up to the third heaven" where he heard unspeakable words, which are not lawful for a man to utter. Many years later, John the Beloved was also privileged to see "the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband" (Revelation 21:2). The eternal home of all redeemed souls will be in this glorious city.
Though this Psalm was written by David, it portrays the great principles on which the kingdom of Christ will be governed. Here, David expressed the desires of his heart for the government of his house, the land and the city of God.
David, being a prophet was actually foreseeing the future kingdom of Christ "wherein dwells righteousness." The glorious Kingdom revealed to God's servants both in the Old and New Testaments will be the culmination of God's perfect plan and purpose for His loyal and obedient children. As the people of God labour "in journeys often,... in perils in the city... in perils among false brethren, in weariness and painfulness, in watchings, often, in hunger and thirst, in fasting often,...", a day will come when God will finally wipe away all tears from their eyes and their sorrow will be turned to everlasting joy.
All present sufferings are but a 'light affliction' which will fade into oblivion when God's glory shall be revealed. Paul the apostle, chained in prison, wrote to the church urging them to rejoice always. He rejoiced too in all his afflictions. Will you be among that great multitude that stand and sing before the throne?
*✍THOUGHT FOR THE DAY* Should one allow anything to hinder him from partaking in this coming glory?
*COVER TO COVER* AMOS 1-5.
*MEDITATION*
Reflections: How strong are your God ward decisions?
*1. The decisions of the faithful* vv1-5
a. What is your decision on the nature and the focus of your songs? v1.
*O Lord*, help me that pleasing or impressing men will never be part of my object of singing🙏
b. Are perfect conduct and perfect heart your pursuit and practice? v2.
*Lord*, fixed my desire and priority on perfection of heart and conduct🙏
c. Do you have a covenant with your eyes and imagination on what to permit or avoid? v3.
*I* hereby make a covenant with my eyes not to look at anything or anybody that will pollute my thought and imagination anymore. Help me God🙏
d. Any decision on the type of association to avoid? vv 3b,4.
*Lord*, help our youths in the Church to have power to say NO to evil association and friendship🙏
*Check* If you don't have strong decisions on any of the above, you are standing on a shaking ground.

*2. The determination of our Father* vv5-8.
a. Those who secretly used their mouth to destroy their neighbour will not escape divine frown v5a.
b. The proud in appearance, comportment and heart will not make heaven v5.
c. Only the faithful to God and His word, who are also blameless in conduct, will have the privilege of dwelling with God eternally v6.
d. The deceitful and all liars in business, appearance, christian service, etc. have no space in the presence of God vv7,8.
*Lord*, I have observed a lot of imperfections in my life. Come and perfect my life now and deal with all forms of imperfection of character in me🙏
*Lord*, make the retreat time a visitation and perfecting time for all🙏

*HYMN* I have decided
1 I have decided to follow Jesus;
I have decided to follow Jesus;
I have decided to follow Jesus;
no turning back, no turning back.
2 Though none go with me, I still will follow;
though none go with me, I still will follow;
though none go with me, I still will follow;
no turning back, no turning back.
3 The world behind me, the cross before me;
the world behind me, the cross before me,
the world behind me, the cross before me;
no turning back, no turning back.
I have decided to follow Jesus;

no turning back, no turning back.
