*Get Divine Stability into Your Life*
*Matthew 7:24-27*
Everyone who hears these words of mine and puts them into practice is like a wise man who built his house on the rock. The rain came down ... and the winds blew and beat against that house; yet it did not fall, because it had its foundation on the rock. But everyone who hears these words of mine and does not put them into practice is like a foolish man who built his house on sand...the winds blew and beat against that house, and it fell with a great crash.

In Isaiah 33:6 the Bible says, wisdom and knowledge will be the stability of your times, and the strength of salvation; the fear of the LORD is His treasure. Proverbs 4:7 says, wisdom is the principal thing; therefore get wisdom: and with all thy getting get understanding. But what exactly is this wisdom that we need to get?
To the world, wisdom is about being smart; even if it means cheating or cutting corners. But to God, wisdom is about acknowledging Him, honouring Him and walking in His ways. Proverbs 9:10 (GNB) says, to be wise you must first have reverence for the LORD. If you know the Holy One, you have understanding. James 3:13-17 differentiates between earthly wisdom and the wisdom that is from above.
Wisdom is the right application of knowledge. For us as God's children, wisdom is the right application of the truth and revelation of Christ. When you are applying the truth and revelation of Christ to your life, you are being wise and you are building stability into your life. You are building your life on the right foundation Christ; you are activating the wisdom of Christ in you. If you are not applying the truth and revelation of Christ to your life, you are being foolish. The Bible says when you are only a hearer of God's word and not a doer, you are deceiving yourself. But as you see yourself in God's perfect mirror (the revelation of Christ) and act in line with this picture of yourself you will be strong and blessed in all you do, James 1:22-25.
*Prayer:*
Heavenly Father, I receive your grace right now to fill myself with the revelation of Christ and to apply it to my life continually.
