*We are Redeemed by the Blood of the Lamb*

*Revelation 5:6&9*

And I beheld and, lo, in the midst of the throne and of the four beasts, and in the midst of the elders, stood a Lamb as it had been slain, having seven horns and seven eyes, which are the seven Spirits of God sent forth into all the earth.

*And they sung a new song, saying, Thou art worthy to take the book, and to open the seals thereof: for thou wast slain, and hast redeemed us to God by thy blood out of every kindred, and tongue, and people, and nation.

To redeem is to purchase or to buy something. By the sacrifice of Jesus' Blood on the Cross, God has bought us back to Himself. He now owns us and it is His love and grace that determines our experiences. By the Blood of Jesus, our sins are forgiven, we are completely delivered from the devil's power and we are now citizens of the Kingdom of God's dear Son, Col. 1:13-14. By His Blood, Jesus has destroyed the devil's power over our lives, Heb. 2:14-15. Death no longer reigns over us, Rom. 5:17. We have overcome Satan by the Blood of the Lamb and by our testimony of what Christ has done and we are no more afraid of death, Rev. 12:11. Our faith is absolutely in Jesus. Just like the blood of the Passover lamb in Exodus 12, the Blood of Jesus has made God's judgment to pass over us. Just as Pharaoh was dealt a deadly blow that made him release the lsraelites, the devil was dealt a deadly blow by the Cross of Jesus and we are free from his dominion.

We have also been redeemed from the curse of the Law and the blessing of Abraham has come upon us, Gal. 3:13. We cannot be cursed anymore. By our faith in Jesus and His works for us, we are forever blessed. We have also been saved from God's wrath to come, Rom. 5:9, 1 Thess. 1:9, 1 Thess. 5:10. The Bible says the wrath of God will come upon the children of disobedience, Eph. 5:6, Col. 3:6. When Jesus comes back again, He will be glorified in His saints but He will take vengeance on those who do not know God and have not obeyed or believed the gospel, 2 Thess. 1:7-10.

I am redeemed by the Blood of Jesus. I am free from the devil's power, I am blessed and all my sins are forgiven!
