| Be Ready for Action |

1Peter 1:12-13 (GNB)God revealed to these prophets that their work was not for their own benefit, but for yours, as they spoke about those things which you have now heard from the messengers who announced the Good News by the power of the Holy Spirit...These are things which even the angels would like to understand. So then, have your minds ready for action. Keep alert and set your hope completely on the blessing which will be given you when Jesus Christ is revealed.
Eyes have not seen, ears have not heard and minds have not imagined the exploits that God has in store for you to accomplish. Even angels desire to see and understand the glorious things that God has in mind for you because you are in Christ. These are things that you would never deserve or qualify for on your own merit. His grace has made them possible. However, there is something you have to do. You have to put the grace of God to work in your life. In 1Corinthians 15:9-10 (NIV), Apostle Paul referred to himself as the least of the apostles. In fact, he contended that he did not even deserve to be called an apostle because of his prior persecution of the church. According to Paul, the grace of God had effect in his life because he laboured more abundantly than every other apostle. In that labouring, he acknowledged that it was God's grace, not his own efforts, that made him all that he was. Apostle Paul was also one who devoted himself to studying and learning, 2Tim.4:13.
The grace of God is not an excuse for slothfulness and laziness. On the contrary, it is the empowerment for great works and exploits. No one accomplishes exploits by being lazy and playing around. Exploits are accomplished by those who are focused and hardworking. As they put the grace of God to work, God backs up their efforts and does great and mighty things through them. It is your willingness to work that prevents the grace of God from being in vain in your life. Child of God, if you are ready to be strong, focused and hard working, God is more than ready to manifest His power and grace in your life.
PRAYER FOCUS: Thank God for the great and glorious things that He wants to manifest in your life and tell Him that you are willing to put His grace to work even more in your life.
