Call Upon the Lord

Call Upon the Lord

   WEDNESDAY
       MAY. 31

Psalm 145:18-19, Romans 10:11-13
The LORD is nigh unto all them that call upon him, to all that call upon him in truth. He will fulfil the desire of them that fear him: he also will hear their cry, and will save them. *For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed. For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek: for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon him. For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.

The act of prayer is a very powerful resource which allows us to activate the blessings and promises of God for our lives. Whether we call upon God as an individual or as a group, He is going to answer us speedily, Luke 18:7-8. Do not faint, child of God, pray in faith and you will experience God's hand in your life and situation. Our God is a very present help in time of trouble, Psa.46:1. He is always ever willing to offer us His help and grace if we are willing to reach out to Him for it. James 4:2 shows us that the simple reason why we don't have some things in our lives is that we have refused to ask God for them. 1Peter 5:6-7 says, “humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time: Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.”

When Peter was arrested in Acts chapter 12:5-11, the church arose and prayed unto God without ceasing for him and God sent an Angel to deliver him. When the lives of all the wise men of Babylon were at stake in Daniel 2:16-19, Daniel went home and told Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego to join him to pray and seek God for His mercies. In response, God showed up and their lives were preserved. In the same way, your life will be preserved as you call upon God over that situation. Be strong in prayer, child of God. Draw near to God and He will draw near to you. Use the authority that you have been granted in Christ when you are praying. Continue to maximize this access that God has given you unto His throne of grace, Heb.4:16.

PRAYER :  By faith and the authority of Jesus, call upon God over every situation troubling you now and receive His intervention.
