Hebrews 6:10-11 (NKJV), Luke 10:2
For God is not unjust to forget your work and labor of love which you have shown toward His name, in that you have ministered to the saints, and do minister. And we desire that each one of you show the same diligence to the full assurance of hope until the end. *Therefore said he unto them, The harvest truly is great, but the labourers are few: pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he would send forth labourers into his harvest.

Another sign that evidences your growing love for God is a strong desire to see advancement in God's work and to see the expansion of His kingdom on the earth. Your love for God should stir up a desire to labour in any way possible for His will to be done and for His Name to be glorified. You will have a strong desire to serve God and advance His purpose on the earth. You will be troubled when you see God's work suffer or His will abandoned. It was Nehemiah's love for God that made him unable to rest until the walls of Jerusalem were rebuilt. Acts 13:36 declares that David served God's purpose in His generation. The Bible reveals to us that God severally referred to David as His servant (Psa.89:20) and as a man after His own heart, Acts 13:22.
Most people that accomplished exploits for God in the Bible were described as servants of God. Jesus Himself made it clear that He came to serve and not to be served, Matt.20:28. Can God describe you as His servant? According to Genesis 29:20, the love that Jacob had for Rachel caused the seven years that he served for her hand in marriage to seem like just a few days to him. In the same way, your love for God should render you passionate to His service. Real lovers of God are passionate servants of God. God needs many more people who are willing to serve Him passionately in His vineyard. God is looking for people whose love for Him will make them willing to sacrifice and labour in their service unto Him. Today, I pray that your love for God will make you a passionate servant of God.
PRAYER FOCUS: Tell God how much you love Him and ask Him to show you more ways that you can devote yourself to serving Him passionately.
