Hebrews 1:9, 1 Corinthians 13:6 (NIV), Matthew 24:12, 1John 2:15 (GNB)
Thou hast loved righteousness, and hated iniquity; therefore God, even thy God, hath anointed thee with the oil of gladness above thy fellows. *Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. *And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold. *Do not love the world or anything that belongs to the world. If you love the world, you do not love the Father.

God loves righteousness and hates iniquity. Because of your love for Him, you must love righteousness and hate iniquity also. You must love the ways of God and hate the ways of this world. In Matthew 7:13-14, Jesus described the ways of the world as the broad way that leads to destruction and the ways of God as the narrow way that leads to life. Christ made it clear that there are many taking the broad way that leads to destruction and only a few taking the narrow way that leads to life. As iniquity abounds and the love of many wax cold in these last days, it will take a genuine love for God and a desire to please Him at all costs to follow this narrow way that leads to life.
Joseph made up his mind to follow this narrow way when he refused to give in to the temptation of Potiphar's wife, Gen.39:8-9. Despite how pleasurable it may have been at that moment, he hated what she was enticing him to do because it was evil and was something that God hates. Joseph faced a major trial (of going to prison for an offence he didn't commit) because of his decision to love righteousness and hate iniquity. However, God used that very trial to lift him up and use him for more exploits.
I pray for you today that your love for God will cause you to be strong in God and cause you to engage in exploits of righteousness. James 1:12 (NIV) says, “blessed is the man who perseveres under trial, because when he has stood the test, he will receive the crown of life that God has promised to those who love him.”
FAITH DECLARATION: I love righteousness and I hate iniquity. My love for God will cause me to embark on exploits of righteousness.
