Maintain Your Joy in the Lord

Maintain Your Joy in the Lord

SATURDAY
MAY13

Habakkuk 3:17-19 (NIV)
Though the fig tree does not bud and there are no grapes on the vines, though the olive crop fails and the fields produce no food, though there are no sheep in the pen and no cattle in the stalls, yet I will rejoice in the Lord, I will be joyful in God my Savior. The Sovereign Lord is my strength; he makes my feet like the feet of a deer, he enables me to go on the heights.

This year, God wants you to enter into the 'even though' dimension of faith. David confessed, “even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me. You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies. You anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows. Surely goodness and love will follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever,” Psa.23:4-6 (NIV). Tell yourself that no one and no circumstance will steal your joy in the Lord this year. Let your joy in the Lord be non-negotiable. Let it become your trademark. Let people see you and wonder why you are always so joyful. Decide, like Apostle Paul, that nothing will move you and that nothing will stop you from finishing the assignment that God has given you with joy, Acts 20:24.

God is on your side. Because God is for you, no one and nothing can be against you and succeed, Rom.8:31-32. All things are working together for your good, Rom.8:28. In Christ, God's promises are yea and amen, 2Cor.1:20. They will surely come to pass in your life. God wants you to serve Him with joyfulness and gladness of heart, Deut.28:47-48. He wants you to rejoice in Him always, Phil.4:4. He wants you to be thankful in all things, 1Thes.5:18. It is with joy that we draw from the wells of salvation, Isa.12:3. Blessed are they that know how to stir up their joy in the Lord at all times, for they shall always be victorious. This year, you shall be strong and victorious and because of your joy in the Lord, you shall do exploits.

PRAYER FOCUS: Declare the Word and promises of God to yourself and rejoice in faith that God has already performed them for you.
