| Make Your Zeal and Passion Strong and Personal |

Romans 12:9-12 (AMP)
[Let your] love be sincere (a real thing); hate what is evil [loathe all ungodliness, turn in horror from wickedness], but hold fast to that which is good. Love one another with brotherly affection [as members of one family], giving precedence and showing honor to one another. Never lag in zeal and in earnest endeavor; be aglow and burning with the Spirit, serving the Lord.

It was Joseph's personal zeal and passion for God that helped him remain committed to God throughout his ordeal in Egypt. They were what enabled him to say no to Potiphar's wife, to run from her and to resist the temptation the way he did, Gen.39:9-12. Your personal zeal and passion for God may get you into trouble with men but they will preserve your strength and growth in God and His purpose for your life. Love righteousness and hate evil with a passion.
There will be trials and challenges along your way. Your faith will be tested. To be able to pay this price, you must remain zealous and passionate about serving God. The fact that everyone else is doing something does not mean that you should do it. Romans 14:12 says, so then every one of us shall give account of himself to God. Nobody motivated Nehemiah to fast and pray (Neh.1:4) and to work diligently for the building of the walls of Jerusalem in 52 days despite all the threats and challenges he faced, Neh.6:15. It was his personal zeal and passion that drove him to do the type of exploits that he did.
Never allow either your material comfort or discomfort to cause you to become lukewarm in your zeal for God, Rev.3:15-22. Generate your own zeal to serve God and do the exploits that He has empowered you to do. Take personal responsibility for the future you desire in life and in God. Lukewarmness will not pay you in the season that we are in; only fervency will.
PRAYER : My dear Heavenly Father, I receive your power and grace to be zealous and passionate for you like never before in my life.
