The Overflow of the Blessing
Genesis 12:1-2 (NIV), Genesis 13:5 (NIV). Genesis 14:16 (NIV)
The Lord had said to Abram, "Leave your country, your people and your father's household and go to the land I will show you. "I will make you into a great nation and I will bless you; I will make your name great, and you will be a blessing. *Now Lot, who was moving about with Abram, also had flocks and herds and tents. *He recovered all the goods and brought back his relative Lot and his possessions, together with the women and the other people.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
In the same way Abraham's blessing was dependent on his obedience to believe and follow God's leading, you and I have been blessed by our faith in Jesus, Gal.3:9. Now, it is one thing to be blessed and it is another thing to be a blessing. To be a blessing is to be so blessed that people become blessed because of you. This is God's utmost desire for you. By your faith in Christ, you are not only blessed in every area of your life, you will touch and empower people to be blessed in every area of their lives. God will use you to restore people back to the realm of dominion that He originally ordained for them to operate in. They will be fruitful, they will multiply, they will replenish the earth, they will subdue and have dominion in every area of their lives as God has ordained for them.
The greatest way to be a blessing to others is to preach the gospel of Christ to them. Because of the death of Christ, everyone who has faith in Him receives abundance of grace and the gift of righteousness which empowers them to have dominion again and reign in life, Rom.5:17. We are privileged to be instruments by which God will redeem men and restore them to dominion in every area of their lives. We are also being a blessing as we encourage others, solve problems, meet needs, shine God's light and manifest God's life and power to others. God has ordained us to be channels and distributors of His blessing unto others. The blessing of God upon your life is so vast that it has the ability to overflow into the lives of others.
PRAYER: Heavenly Father, I thank You for blessing me and also making me a blessing. Use me to bless someone's life today.
