The Blessed Way of Life
Joshua 1:8 (NKJV), Galatians 3:14 (NLT)
This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate in it day and night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success. *Through Christ Jesus, God has blessed the Gentiles with the same blessing he promised to Abraham, so that we who are believers might receive the promised Holy Spirit through faith.

------------------------------------------------------
We studied some days ago that the blessing of God is a spiritual unction that has the ability to produce positive physical manifestations. The truth is that the greatest physical manifestation that the blessing of God can produce in your life is to influence your mindset, your character and your lifestyle. In Joshua 1:8, God told Joshua that by meditating on His Word and acting in obedience to what God had said, the word of God was going to affect his way of life. This was God's definition of good success. God's definition of success is different from this world's definition of success. God does not define success based on the things that you have but rather, on the way you lead your life. In Luke 12:15 (NKJV), Jesus said "take heed and beware of covetousness, for one's life does not consist in the abundance of the things he possesses."
Jesus further cautions us to avoid being anxious about what we might eat and drink, like the people of the world do. Rather, He implored us to seek His kingdom, assuring us that all those other things would be added to us, Luke 12:29-31. Our second text above reveals that the blessing of God that Jesus died for us to receive is the Holy Spirit. We are blessed because we have the Spirit of God inside of us. Now that we have the Spirit of Godliving inside us, all we need to do is grow in our fellowship with Him, as well as our consciousness of Him. We also need to keep being filled and yielding ourselves to Him. As we do this, we will find ourselves living the blessed life.
PRAYER FOCUS:Thank God for blessing you by giving you His Spirit. Pray that this year, you will yield to the Spirit more than ever before.
