Grace to Take Charge of Your Thoughts
Proverbs 4:23 (GNB), 2Corinthians 10:3-5
Be careful how you think; your life is shaped by your thoughts. *For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh: (For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;) Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ.

-------------------------------------------------------------------
Your victory must start from your inside. By 'inside,' I am referring to the way you think. This is where we really win or lose the battles that we face every day. It is one thing to be able to refuse fear or anxiety about anything but it is another to be able to pray with thanksgiving about everything. After praying and receiving God's peace, you must be ready to think thoughts that are true, noble, right, pure, lovely, admirable, excellent and praiseworthy, Phil.4:6-8, (NIV). God is able to do exceedingly above all that we ask or think, Eph.3:20. What you are thinking is as important as your prayers. Let both the words of your mouth and the meditations of your heart always be acceptable in God's sight, Psa.19:14.
Be consistent, child of God. Do not be double minded because being double minded will make you unstable and unable to receive anything from God, James 1:6-8. Do not pray one thing, while you think and confess another thing. This year, you have to be deliberate about arresting negative thoughts with the revelation of Christ. When you start to sense thoughts of fear, failure, negativity, lack, trouble, sorrow, sin, sickness, bitterness or hatred, do not allow them to settle in and be conceived in your mind. Arrest them by opening your mouth and confessing and declaring the revelation of God's Word about you in Christ Jesus. In order to do this, you have to fill your mind with the revelation of Christ. Continually fill your mind with all God says He has done for you in Christ, what He says you have, who He says you are and what He says you can do. Think and speak these things.
PRAYER: I receive Your grace, Lord, to take charge over my thoughts and to always control and align them with Your will for my life.
