Victory in Battles
Galatians 2:20 (NIV), 1 Corinthians 15:9-10 (NIV)
I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me. *For I am the least of the apostles and do not even deserve to be called an apostle, because I persecuted the church of God. But by the grace of God I am what I am, and his grace to me was not without effect. No, I worked harder than all of them yet not I, but the grace of God that was with me.

One major fact to be conscious of that will cause you to be victorious and unstoppable this year is that in everything that you do, it is Christ that is doing it both with you and through you. Why? Because He is in you and you are one with Him. There may be things that are impossible for the natural you to accomplish, but there is nothing impossible for Jesus to do. So, since it is Jesus doing everything that you are doing, nothing will be impossible for you. This is why Apostle Paul boldly declared that he could do all things through Christ strengthening him.
Your consciousness of Christ strengthening you and doing everything you do through you will cause you to be successful this year. This kind of consciousness gave David victory in his life. He told King Saul that the Lord would deliver him from Goliath, just as the Lord delivered him from the lion and bear (1Sam.17:37). He also declared to Goliath that the Lord would hand him over, that he would strike him down and cut off his head (1Sam.17:46, NIV). Physically, David was the one going to face Goliath but because he knew that God was going to handle Goliath through him, he was not afraid; rather, he was assured and confident of victory.
Because Christ cannot fail, you too will not fail this year. You will work and face your challenges but it will be Christ's wisdom, power and grace that will manifest through you. No difficulty or challenge will scare you this year because it will not be you facing them, but Christ will be facing them through you.
PRAYER: Heavenly Father, fill me with the consciousness that it is not me, but Christ in me doing everything that I do this year.
