*TEXT:* HEBREWS 11:26-29.
_*🔑KEY VERSE* "Esteeming the reproach of Christ greater riches than the treasures in Egypt: for he had respect unto the recompence of the reward" (HEBREWS 11:26)._
"Myopia" is an eye disease of short-sightedness. It is the inability to see objects that are far off but can only see things around. As it is with the natural, so it is with the spiritual. 'Spiritual myopia' is the inability to see things from the eternal point of view. It is only concerned about "here and now."
Moses had the choice to either enjoy the wealth and privileges Egypt offered as "the son of Pharaoh's daughter," or to "suffer affliction with the people of God." But he forsook Egypt by faith and endured all things. He saw beyond Egypt. He knew there was something greater than the transient temporal privileges Egypt could offer.
Challenges arise in life but the attitude with which we face them makes the difference between joy and sorrow, success and failure. Those who can see 'afar off' understand that life here on earth is only temporal and therefore hold the things of this life with very loose hands. Moses' choice to forfeit the pleasures of Egypt and to serve God and his people was a wise one that eventually made him one of the greatest prophets of the Most High. His inspired writings of the Pentateuch reveals who created man and how he was created. Without it, humanity would have remained blind as to who the Creator is and how He created all things. That decision granted him the honour of being personally buried by God who took him to heaven and gave him the privilege to appear with Elijah and the Lord Jesus on the mount of Transfiguration.
As New Testament believers, there are still many choices and decisions to be made daily. The wise, like Moses, align with God and His ways while the foolish align with the flesh and the world. 'Spiritual myopia' must be avoided in taking decisions that will affect our eternal destiny. How far do you see today?

Actions of faith
1. True faith damns the seemingly negative consequences of following Christ joyfully and without any regrets v26.
a. This faith is hinged on eternal multiplied rewards and earthly promised blessings that will follow later v26.
b. What are some of the losses, lost privileges or sufferings that may attend your following Christ wholeheartedly?
*Lord*, give me that spiritual understanding that will make me see all earthly gains and glamour as nothing compared to eternal glory🙏.
c. Do you have the faith that is willing to give up all for Christ? Why not?
*Lord*, give me the faith and your knowledge that nothing will be too big to surrender or give up for the Lord.🙏
2. True faith fearlessly take bold steps in line with God's will while seeing the likely "negative" consequences as nothing compared to the greatness of God v27,29.
*Q* Is there any will of God or word of God for your life that you are afraid of the consequences of obedience? Faith sees God ahead of all challenges.
*Lord*, increase my faith and give me boldness of faith🙏
3. Faith exercise full confidence in the blood of Jesus to save totally from sin, Satan and sicknesses v28.
*Q* Is your faith only in the blood of Jesus for salvation and deliverance or you have other alternatives in case the power of the blood fails?
Only exclusive faith in the blood of Jesus will provide assurance of salvation and full security from the adversaries.
*Lord Jesus*, I hereby commit my heart and life to you with full faith in the blood of Jesus. Let the blood wash my heart from all sins and give me full protection🙏.

*HYMN* All to Jesus I surrender
1
All to Jesus I surrender,
All to Him I freely give;
I will ever love and trust Him,
In His presence daily live.
*Chorus*
I surrender all,
I surrender all.
All to Thee, my blessed Savior,
I surrender all.
2
All to Jesus I surrender,
Humbly at His feet I bow,
Worldly pleasures all forsaken;
Take me, Jesus, take me now.
3
All to Jesus I surrender,
Make me, Savior, wholly Thine;
Let me feel Thy Holy Spirit,
Truly know that Thou art mine.
4
All to Jesus I surrender,
Lord, I give myself to Thee;
Fill me with Thy love and power,
Let Thy blessing fall on me.
5
All to Jesus I surrender,
Now I feel the sacred flame.
Oh, the joy of full salvation!
Glory, glory to His name!
All to Jesus I surrender,
All to Him I freely give;
I will ever love and trust Him,
In His presence daily live.
*Chorus*
I surrender all,
I surrender all.
All to Thee, my blessed Savior,
I surrender all.
