*TOPIC: THE GRANDEUR OF GOD*
Text: Psalm 93:1-5.
93:1 The LORD reigneth, he is clothed with majesty; the LORD is clothed with strength, wherewith he hath girded himself: the world also is stablished, that it cannot be moved.
93:2 Thy throne is established of old: thou art from everlasting.
93:3 The floods have lifted up, O LORD, the floods have lifted up their voice; the floods lift up their waves
93:4 The LORD on high is mightier than the noise of many waters, yea, than the mighty waves of the sea.
93:5 Thy testimonies are very sure: holiness becometh thine house, O LORD, for ever.
_Key Verse: "The LORD on high is mightier than the noise of many waters, yea, than the mighty waves of the sea" (Psalm 93:4)._
*MESSAGE*
The Scottish theologian, John Baillie, once taught at Edinburgh University. It was in his practice to open his course on the doctrine of God with these words:
"We must remember, in discussing God, that we cannot talk about Him without His hearing every word we say. We may be able to talk about others behind their backs, but God is everywhere, yes, even in this classroom. Therefore, in all our discussions we must be aware of His infinite presence, and talk about Him, as it were before His face."
The text today reveals the majesty of the Lord God. Whatever opposition may arise, His throne is unmoved; He has reigned, does reign, and will reign forever and ever.
Whatever turmoil and rebellion there may be beneath the clouds, the eternal King sits above all in supreme serenity.
Everywhere, He is really Master of all and every situation. He sees all, hears all and does as he pleases.
All things are ordered according to His eternal purposes and His will is supreme.
God's throne was established of old and He is from everlasting to everlasting.
No human being on earth can truncate His eternal plan, purpose and programme.
Pharaoh, Herod and Nebuchadnezzar all tried their best to alter the will of God and the way of God but they failed woefully.
The testimony of our God is sure; therefore, no one or event on earth can run down God. He is Lord of all.
This knowledge of the Almighty God should comfort the Christian.
Whatever you may be passing through or is passing through you, surrender yourself unconditionally to God's rule and let Him take control of your life and situation.
Then you will discover that he is indeed clothed in majesty and mightier than the mighty sea!
*Thought For The Day:* God is great and mightier than all.

Hymn: Great Is Thy Faithfulness
1. “Great is Thy faithfulness,” O God my Father,
There is no shadow of turning with Thee;
Thou changest not, Thy compassions, they fail not
As Thou hast been Thou forever wilt be.
There is no shadow of turning with Thee;
Thou changest not, Thy compassions, they fail not
As Thou hast been Thou forever wilt be.
Chorus
“Great is Thy faithfulness!” “Great is Thy faithfulness!”
Morning by morning new mercies I see;
All I have needed Thy hand hath provided—
“Great is Thy faithfulness,” Lord, unto me!
“Great is Thy faithfulness!” “Great is Thy faithfulness!”
Morning by morning new mercies I see;
All I have needed Thy hand hath provided—
“Great is Thy faithfulness,” Lord, unto me!
2. Summer and winter, and springtime and harvest,
Sun, moon and stars in their courses above,
Join with all nature in manifold witness
To Thy great faithfulness, mercy and love.
Sun, moon and stars in their courses above,
Join with all nature in manifold witness
To Thy great faithfulness, mercy and love.
3. Pardon for sin and a peace that endureth,
Thine own dear presence to cheer and to guide;
Strength for today and bright hope for tomorrow,
Blessings all mine, with ten thousand beside!
Thine own dear presence to cheer and to guide;
Strength for today and bright hope for tomorrow,
Blessings all mine, with ten thousand beside!
