ABOVE ONLY DEVOTIONAL THURSDAY NOV 22 Jesus is Your Manna! John 6:47-51 (NLT) I tell you the truth, anyone who believes has eternal life. Yes, I am the bread of life! Your ancestors ate manna in the wilderness, but they all died. Anyone who eats the bread from heaven, however, will never die. I am the living bread that came down from heaven. Anyone who eats this bread will live forever; and this bread, which I will offer so the world may live, is my flesh. The word manna actually means 'what is this'? When God rained bread down from heaven (Psa.78:24) for the Israelites, they were clueless as to what it was because they had never seen anything like it before. Moses had to explain to them that it was the bread God had provided for them, Exodus 16:14 & 15. Now, the Bible informs us that they ate this manna for forty years until they came into the Promised Land, Exo.16:35. Deuteronomy 8:3 further reveals that God fed the Israelites with manna to show them that man shall not live by bread alone but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God. God wanted them to know that He alone can divinely sustain them in every area of their lives. That manna that sustained Israel in the wilderness was just a symbol and shadow of Jesus. In Jesus, God has divinely provided abundant sustenance for you in every area of your life. He will also bring you into the fullness of His promises for your life, 2Cor.1:20. In our text above, Jesus assured us that He is the real bread from Heaven and everyone who eats of Him will never die. The way we eat His flesh is by believing in His death. Luke 22:19 says, “and he took bread, and gave thanks, and brake it, and gave unto them, saying, This is my body which is given for you: this do in remembrance of me.” Every time you take the communion, you are declaring (1Cor.11:26, NLT) and reminding yourself that you believe in the death of Jesus and by doing that you are stirring up the life and power of Jesus to manifest in every area of your lif
