*The Spirit of Wisdom and Revelation*

_Ephesians 1:15-17 (NIV)_
_For this reason, ever since I heard about your faith in the Lord Jesus and your love for all the saints, I have not stopped giving thanks for you, remembering you in my prayers. I keep asking that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the glorious Father, may give you the Spirit of wisdom and revelation, so that you may know him better._

The things of God cannot simply be reasoned out by the mind of the natural man. A man has to be born again before the things of God can be revealed to him by the spirit of God. 2Corinthians 4:3-4 shows us that the god of this world has blinded the eyes of the people of this world so they cannot see the light in the glorious gospel of Christ. The misunderstanding of the Law and the Old Covenant is another thing that places a veil over the hearts of people. But when we become born again (John 3:3) and turn to Christ (2Cor.3:13-16), we receive the ability to see and understand the things of God. That veil is removed so we can see the glory of God in the face of Jesus (2Cor.4:6) and be changed from glory to glory by the spirit of God into the image of Christ, 2Cor.3:18.

The key to your living a glorious life is in the unveiling of God's wisdom to you, 1Cor.2:7. The people of this world crucified Christ because they could not comprehend the unimaginable things that God has prepared for us that love Him. These are the deep things that the spirit of God is revealing to us right now, 1Cor.2:7-10. The foolishness of God is wiser than men and the weakness of God is stronger than men, 1Cor.1:25. If the foolishness of God is wiser than men, can you imagine what His wisdom would be like? If the weakness of God is stronger than men, what will His strength be like? Now the Bible says that Christ is the wisdom and the power of God, 1Cor.1:24. All treasures of wisdom and knowledge are hidden in Christ, Col.2:3. Just like Apostle Paul prayed in our text above, we also need the spirit of God to keep granting us spiritual wisdom and revelation to know Christ.

PRAYER FOCUS:
Tell God that you want to know Christ more. Ask Him for the spirit of wisdom and revelation to know Christ more.
