Your Life is From the Word of God

Your Life is From the Word of God

1 Peter 1:23 (NIV, NLT, Living Bible)
For you have been born again, not of perishable seed, but of imperishable, through the living and enduring word of God. *For you have been born again, but not to a life that will quickly end. Your new life will last forever because it comes from the eternal, living word of God. *For you have a new life. It was not passed on to you from your parents, for the life they gave you will fade away. This new one will last forever, for it comes from Christ.

Author PhotoAs a child of God, your life does not come from your flesh and blood or your biological parents' bloodline. You have a new and higher life. This life comes from the spirit of God that is in you. By receiving and believing in Jesus, you became an offspring of God born by God Himself and carrying His very kind of life, John 1:12-13. The word of God is the substance from which your life is formed. As such, it is the word of God that determines your reality (i.e., what is possible and what impossible in your life). You are not from this world; you are from above and Jesus said He that is from above is above all, John 3:31. Whatever cannot stop or overcome the word of God cannot stop or overcome you. The same way God's word prospers in whatsoever God sends it (Isa.55:11), by the word of God, you too will prosper in whatsoever you do, Psa.1:2-3. You are blessed with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places (where you come from), Eph.1:3.

We do not live by sight (physical senses). We live by faith (2Cor.5:7) and our faith is based on the word of God, Rom. 10:17. You must always remember that Jesus is the word of God, John 1:1&14. So when we talk about faith in the word of God, we are talking of faith in Jesus and all He has done for us. We are talking about living in the things that are already our realities in Christ. Christ is your life. Colossians 3:4 (GNB) says, “Your real life is Christ and when he appears, then you too will appear with him and share his glory!”
