*Above Only Devotional*
MON., JAN. 21
*Always Remember That You Have a Father*
_Luke 15:17 - 18a (GNB), Matthew 7:1 I (GNB), Matthew 6:9 (GNB)_

_At last he came to his senses and said, all my father's hired workers have more than they can eat, and here I am about to starve! I will get up and go to my father... *As bad as yoibare then, you know how to give good things to your children. How much more then, will your father in heaven give good things to those who ask him! *This, then is how you should pray: 'Our Father in heaven: may your holy name be honored._
If God so loved us while we were yet sinners that He willingly gave Jesus to suffer and die for us, how much more do you think He loves us and wants to touch us now that we are His children and He is our Father (Rom.5:8-10, Rom.8:31-32)? Because of all Jesus has done for you, God the Father sees you as a dear and loving son or daughter and He wants you to see Him and relate with Him as a dear and loving Father, not as a wicked God. God the Father loves you far more than the very best earthly father can ever love his children.
There are so many good and perfect gifts that God your Father wants to give you this year. James 1:17 (NKJV) reminds us that every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and comes down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or shadow of turning. He will never turn away from you. As you keep remembering that He is your Father and that He loves you so much, you will have the boldness to stay in fellowship with Him and boldly approach Him when you need anything. In John 16:23,24& 27 (NKJV) Jesus said, most assuredly, I say to you, whatever you ask the Father in My name He will give you. Until now you have asked nothing in My name. Ask, and you will receive, that your joy may be full. ... for the Father Himself loves you, because you have loved Me, and have believed that I come forth from God. This year, you will abundantly enioy your loving relationship with God the Father.
Prayer focus:
Worship and call God your Father; receive His abundant love for you right now. Boldly make your requests known to Him and receive HIs grace to stay in close fellowship with Him.
