Christ is the Glory of God
Hebrews 1:1-3a (NIV), Colossians 2:9-10. In the past God spoke to our forefathers through the prophets at many times and in various ways, but in these last days he has spoken to us by his Son,
... The Son is the radiance of God’s glory and the exact representation of his being,... *For the full content of divine nature lives in Christ, in his humanity, and you have been given full life in union with him. He is supreme over every spiritual ruler and authority.
When you think of the glory of God, what should come to your mind is Jesus. Jesus is the perfect picture and representation of who God the father is. In John 14:9, Jesus assured us that he that hath seen me hath seen the Father and reminded us in John 10:30 that I and my Father are one. As such, when I say to you that the glory of God is arising in you, what I am saying to you is that the life, power and nature of Christ is increasing and abounding in you. When I say to that the glory of God will manifest in your situation, what I am expressing to you is the fact that the wisdom and the power of Christ will be revealed in that situation. When the bible says we are being changed into the image of the Lord from glory to glory, it is the image of Christ that we are being transformed into, 2cor. 3:18.
The bible also describes the power and operation of the Holy Spirit as the glory of God. Romans 8:11 explains that Jesus was raised up by the Spirit while Romans 6:4 indicates that Jesus was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father. Ephesians 1:19-20 assures us that the same power that raised Christ from, the dead is at work in you. A major assignment of the Holy Spirit is to glory Jesus in your life (John 16:13&14) and one way He does this is by manifesting the power and glory of Jesus in your life. In Acts 3:13, Peters described the healing of the lame man by the beautiful gate as God glorifying His son, Jesus. Today, God is glorifying Jesus in your life by the Holy Spirit.
