God Will Intervene Through You
Genesis 40:6-8 (NIV) Jeremiah 51:20 (NKJV) When Joseph came to them the next morning, he saw that they were dejected.
So he asked pharaoh’s officials who were in the custody with him in his master’s house, “Why are your faces so sad today?” “We both had dreams,” they answered, but there is none to interpret them.” Then Joseph said to them, do not interpretation belongs to God? Tell me your dreams.” *You are my battle axe and weapon of war.
In our text above, Joseph was a stranger in the land of Egypt and he was also in prison, having been falsely accused. But none of those things limited or prevented Joseph from acting as a solution provider and a source of encouragement to others. His surroundings did not define him. He defined his surroundings. He behaved and sounded very different from everyone around him. In the same way Pharaoh’s officials were sad because they felt there was no one who could interpret their dreams, so many people around us are dejected because they are devoid of solutions to challenges they faced. Instead of being sad and hopeless like others, God wants you and me to be joyful and solution providers to others today.
You are the light of the world and the salt of the earth. You are a city set on a hill that cannot be hid. God is waiting for you to arise and shine His light that is in you to overcome the darkness prevailing around you and in the lives of others. Do not be unconcerned. If the young Israeli maid had been unconcerned or incapable of providing a solution for Naaman’s leprosy, Naaman too might never have received his healing. Even though the young maid could not solve the issue directly, she was able to refer Naaman to someone she knew who could, 2kings 5:2-3. Go to God like Daniel did in Daniel 2:17-19 and like Nehemiah did in Nehemiah 1:4 and like Esther did in Esther 4:15-16. Get other believers involved if possible. God is counting on you. As God's battle axe, He wants to use you to shatter those challenges people around you are facing. So stay sharp conscious of God's power and yield to Him.
Prayer Focus:
Ask God to use you to bring solutions and hope to the lives of others today. Pray about issues in the lives of others.
BIBLE IN ONE YEAR READING PLAN:
